The question is how far from the wp should the downed ship be. I have to lower all my graphic options to stop lag overload and it takes a while for things to load in.

Shouldn't be to far, It will appear on your over head map as a big square..

I'm finding the ship, but no crate at the ship. It's in northern Endor so there's no trees for it to hide in.

I still cant find anything using overhead map and searched all directions up to 2000k by walking just incase i missed it the 1st time but still no ship.

You don't need to actually find a crate, just drive by the freighter.
Also it is a bit buggy as one of my missions didn't give me a crate after driving by the freighter 6+times, and another I got a crate in the middle of nowhere (assuming invisible freighter) as I had given up looking for the freighter and was headed back to get another wp from whip.

Use Cntl M and scroll out you will see the green boxes.. you dont even have to be at your actual waypoint to get it... I had a waypoint yesterday that was like 4k out and saw a ship at like 2.5k out and decided to try it... (sure enough it worked.. I got the crate of stuff lol) So even if you are driving to your waypoint and see another ship swing by if it is closer and you may be able to finish the mission without driving half way around endor.

I got it, apparently if you delay going even to go take a leak, it will despawn on you. I was either checking someone else's or they weren't recognizing me. It was my first mission so I had no idea what to expect but I went back and talked to Whip and he gave me another wp that worked fine. On a later mission I checked about 6 of them and none of them worked after I delayed going a few minutes.

i had one actually despawn on me... how i found out was i was driving around and even though the ship wasnt there, i actually DID pick up the crate of supplies and nothing was there...
*Too bad though, i wanted to kill the sith guys as i had one previously drop an AA with carbine speed: 9 which im selling on auction atm..

hehe I settled for sneaking in & nabbing the crate from under their dirty sith noses for my first run today with Aziri
Mind you when I do it with Rudy I'm gonna snipe their sorry asses

I dont get it. So you just drive near and a crate goes in your inventory? I killed all the Sith, looted them, looked around the crashsite, and then it disappeared. All I found was ore and wind crystals.

Yeah, dont even bother killing them, just drive by crash site and it will go into your inventory.
