Thread: My experience The Exit Quest and Padawan Trials

With Phase 2 shifting in on Eclipse, I was quite excited - I would finally unlock.
June 25th (saturday morning), Eclipse shifted Phases. Sadly, I was called into work. By the time I got home, had some dinner and logged into SWG, it was 4:30. I had logged in the Village, so I was ready to go.
Just to get the unlock out of the way, I did the Survey quest - and boy, was it easy. 30 minutes and I was done. I found all 8 resources within a 1500m radius of the Village. I was happy and finally done.
I made my way to my player city, I arrived there at roughyt 5:15pm. I did some shuttle hopping to other player cities, ran some errands (picked up some things I needed, you know, shopping) and then I logged at about 6:30pm. I came back again around 8:30pm, did some shuttle hopping again, ran more errands and logged. That was it, Saturday was over for me. I didn't wanna play, as I knew I'd get impatient waiting for the Old Man.
7:00 am Sunday morning, I log in. I immediatly take a shuttle to a player city and come back. When I arrive, there is an Old Man there! I was happy, but suddenly, very sad - this Old Man was not meant for me. About 5 minutes later, my Old Man arrived. It was 7:15. Roughly 14 hours for the second Old Man visit, not bad.
It got the waypoint for Mel - 900m south, not bad. It was early and only a few guildies were on, so I had to wait. At roughly 9:30 pm I had 6 guildes with me and we made our way to Mel. There he was, with Daktar and a bunch of lowbie Sith. I had 2 rifleman peg off the crystals and guess what? Non were bugged! I was happy, very happy. Not much longer later and Daktar was dead and soon to follow, Mel.
Got my quest update journal update and sent to the nearest force shrine - lucky me, there is a force shrine 1200m, not to bad and it's not far from the city I live in - I like!
I take a small break for lunch and do some things around the house and return to start my trials at 1:00 pm. My first task was to Talus and so I went and completed. From there, I continued on word and then I came to the infamous Falumpests (sp?). Took me 1.5 hours to find 20, but I managed. My last trial was on Talus, how convenient! Incedently, Talus was the starting planet for this character, waaay back when.
Guess what time it was when I finished theTrials? 8:00pm. 7 hours to complete, not bad. Guess what? Not a single bugged Trial! I did much research and every thing seemed to work, from what I read. I only took trials located on Talus, Tatooine or Coriella and no other place. I got off my speeder and walked the last 200m to the NPC and I also /target the NPC I needed (not sure if this had an effect or not all).
Got my robes and made some great LS with base stats - I have some of the best resources that have shifted on our server and these have made some nase LS'.
So, I guess basically what I am saying is, it didn't take me to long to do it all. Roughly 28 hours from finishing Phase 2 to ending the Paddy Trials and having -no- bugs at all. Perhaps it was luck? Most likely - the Trials got a bit boring after awhile, but I managed. =)

Nice one, I can't wait till I get my turn 
And the Old Man coming but he wasn't yours, when the old man came the first time for me I saw him running in the distance towards me, I thought YEY! Then he runs straight past me rofl

Same with me, he ran towards me, then right past me. Funny thing - this was at 7:15 am int he morning, when I logged lat night at 11:00pm that same Old Man was standing at the Shuttleport. Every time I was there, he was still there. I thought they left after awhile, apparently not this one.

Great post. This old man is killing me, I finished my last quest about 11am yesterday and now i'm hoping he comes soon today. Last time it took him 4 days to find me, I hope I don't have to wait that long this time. I'm shuttle hoping now, hoping he'll show up. Thanks again for the post.

Do you feel that this mission can be solo'd? I'm a Mrifleman with root, and a very hard headed pet?
I want to try and solo it, but I don't know what will happen if I get killed.

We found it a bit tough, even with 7 people. We pulled Daktar (CL100) fairly easy and he wasn't hard to kill at all. Actually, he was extremely easy.
When tried to pull the low level Sith by themselves (with cover shot), it didn't work - they were to social. All the Sith came including Mel - so about 6 Sith + Mel... if you can pull him by himself, you might do ok. He regenerates fast, even without the crystals. You need to do steady damage and DO NOT let him get in range of Melee, man he was nasty in melee range. 1000-2000 damage with full armor or for me, TK Innate Armor (master).
Good luck and I have no idea what happens if you are killed.

Pets were used and conceal shot- still aggro'd. Regardless, it went well and smooth for myself. I had a great team to work with- helped that we were all guildies and new each other well. =)

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't using pets to aggro the Sith be a good way? From my experience even socialable critters ignore their friends if this is the case. Also, Conceal Shot tends to be anti-social as well

So assuming one did have an NPC poof on them at the end of a trial - say the end of the falumpaset mission...
Is it restart or bust?
Do CSR's ever help with this part...spawn an npc or something...advance it...anything?

Awesome story. I hope my ending is as good as yours. I will finally be done in phase 3(Bria)
