once your glowing it takes u a min of 18weeks to get jedi
wich i think it not that long, lots of ppl that holo grinded to get there jedi, it took them longer then the 18weeks and it also took longer then a month for a pre-cu jedi to get a full template and it only takes about 1 1/2 months to get a full template now so stop crying

You need a reality check. I started playing after launch and just role played for a year and had 1 free unlock. When cu went live and we had double xp I decided if I wanted a jedi I had to grind hard and get thru the village. I did and with double xp I completed 3 more fs branches, and then finished the last one with the extended xp they gave. You have to want jedi bad enough to put in the long hours grinding to finish the village. Then, you have to do the bugged Mel quest to start the padawan trials. The padawan trials are very bugged and you will end up doing many of these multiple times.
If you think the xp to get thru the village is hard you should just stop now and give up on being a jedi, as jedi xp is way more than the fs xp you had to get to finish the village. It's all a matter of mental attitude and how bad do you really want a jedi? After playing for 2 years, I just got my jedi about a week ago. I got thru the bugged padawan trials, and since becoming a padawan have filled 12 jedi boxes in just 4 days.
Getting xp after the combat upgrade is much easier than it was before then. The game used to be about grouping and social interaction before all the buffs, composite armor and uber weapons. I'm glad to see the game has gone back to grouping and social interaction to develop your character in swg.
Jedi was not meant to be quick or easy....that is way most players will never become jedi....when they realize the hard road ahead....they will get discouraged and give up on jedi.
If a casual player like myself can make it to jedi then anybody can. You just need to make friends in game by living in a city or joining a guild so you can get help with hunting groups, getting weapons, and other things you need.

this is ridiculous. how about this "11 month player" :
• 18 professions grinded out
• theme parks run on foot, heck everything run on foot for that matter
• [insert whatever other ridiculous thing they threw up against us]
you guys have a cake walk, you KNOW how long it will take and what you need to do
instead we just blindly played and prayed that something good would happen.... luckily it was musician and *click* welcome to another broken profession.

though I do agree with you that new FS characters know what to do and how long it will take . . thats not completely untrue for pre-9 jedi. I knew several people thatknew they had to get master badges and grinded accordingly. No they didn't know whenthe grind would end . . . but they did know what they had to do.

until the first jedi unlocked we had no idea what to do, i was grinding alog with him - though NOT WITH HIM was pretty much keeping the same pace. even after he did unlock we still didn't have a real good idea everything involved - we just knew there was a lot of grinding and some luck.
what sucks is badges for professions weren't in at the time or where broken i dont remember. sucks i missed out on a crap load of em

Listen toolboxes, the point i was making wasnt that jedi is too much grinding or that i was even bitching about that at all. The point i was making even though i was drunk out of my face at the time is actually pretty good, its that im not a noob, i didnt jump on the jump to lightspeed bandwagon, i have grinded many profs however i dont have free unlocks so that makes it a 30 week grind just to bea noob jedi going for 30k on the bh terminals. Thats the bs i was trying to bring to light.
What the hell Rafka are you some kind of forum bully?

what exactly is a toolbox? cause I think that supposed to be an insult . . .
anyhow, if you want a jedi . . . do the bare minimum, and while you're waiting for the phases to open, bank combat XP. You're basically complaining that the devs put in a system that works . . . it makes jedi a difficult, time comsuming end goal.
sober up and deal . . . everyone else is.
