Ok so I've been playin since last october (2004)on and off, and I took a few months off, and now I'm back after the CU which I like a lot. My question is what is the deal with the phases of the village?

In January-ish I completed Phase 4 of the Village, then a month or two later completed 6 out of 8 misisons in Phase 2 (so its still uncomplete)...now Bria is back to Phase 1 (which I completed just before it switched) and now bria is in Phase 2 again. So I have 2 and 1/2 phases completed out of the 4 in the village.

My main question is this:

To leave the village and to go defeat Mal and head to the padawan trials, you need to complete all 4 Phases of the village and train6 branches fully (6 level 4 boxes of the FS Skill tree). Ok so with each phase you unlock a new FS tree. NOW WHY IS IT THAT YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE *6* PHASES OF THE VILLAGE? Am I getting that right? Why do you have to complete 2 phases over again...I can't remember....

Yes, you have to unlock and fill 6 different branches (24 skill boxes) from at least 6 different phase changes (1 quest per phase). There's no particular order (I think mine was 1 - 4 - 3 - 4 - 1 - 2).

Yeah, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO *6* phases??? When you complete all 4 phases of the village, you will have unlocked 4 trees, which have what 4 branches in each, so thats *16* branches...yet you only need to cap 6 to go to the trials....

...so why again do you need to do 6 phases???

No no, you misunderstand. Each quest in the phase unlocks a BRANCH of the tree, not the entire tree itself. So, you need to do a quest in 6 phases total to get all the branches. Just because you can train Novice Combat Prowess doesn't mean you can train each branch in that tree... just the branches you've unlocked.

Cos SOE say so

I've no idea why they didn't make 6 phases with each quest leading on to the next (with the 3 week gap in the middle) but I guess they ran out of ideas or changes their minds at some point during development.

Hmmmm ok. Yeah I have been banking xp. I haven't converted any over yet but i wasn't aware of that. I understand now. Thanks...

Kind of off topic but I am having another problem:

I JUST completed Phase 1 of the village, and unlocked Ranged Accuracy (I realize its usless for jedi but I JUST want to Jedi at this point LOL, and I was running out of time before the village switch and it was the easiest to do). ANYWAY, I unlocked Rng Accuracy and I went to Pemos to trya nd learn the skill and he said I am able to learn it but wont teach it. So then I went to Nolan and he says "there is nothing more I can teach you at the moment". So how do I LEARN Ranged Accuracy? Am I missing something....again? lol

YOu need 6 full trees so 6 quest to unlock them.

Let's ake en example: You take the 4 of Combat Prowless and the first 2 of Enhanced Reflexes (a very common choice)

So you have to unlock Ranged Accuracy, Ranged Speed, Melee Accuracy and Melee Speed of Combat Prowless. That alone will take you 4 Phase changes to get en hold on the quest because you only can take 1 quest per phase. And you must then unlock Ranged Defense and Melee Defense of Enhanced Reflexes again 2 more Phase.

So now min 18 weeks later you've unlock 6 skill trees and must fill them up each so you can go farer in your path for Jedi

DATA-Lux -> CL90 Jedi, Master Pilot & Politican, RSF Lieutenant, Imperial Colonel
DATA-LuxII -> Master munition trader

Elder: Bounty Hunter, Brawler, Commando, Combat-Medic, Doctor, Explorer, Jedi, Marksman, Merchant, Medic, Pistoleer, Pikeman, Politician, Rifleman,
Smuggler, Teras Kasi

NGE profs: Commando, Boutny Hunter, Jedi, Medic, Politician

I still have 24 skill points available...so I dont see why I can't learn "Ranged Accuracy" ...maybe it is in my Combat Prowess TREE, and its not a new tree like "Enhanced Reflexes" ??? that would explain it...

If you havetrained the novice (Combat Prowess) box at a cost of 50k combat prowess xp then you should be able to train the ranged acc tree box 1 (think the xp cost is 125k, but not sure).

You can train any of the 4 Novice boxes at any time. You don't need to unlock anythign for that. Even if you have the 6+ Million FS xp banked, you can not train any skill branch that you have not unlocked, even if you have trained the Novice skill.

And just to be clear, it isn't 24 skill boxes (even though it totals 24) as this number is missleading. I like to think that it is 6 Tier 4 boxes. You can't train the Tier 4's until the Tier 3's are trained, and so on.

Also, there was a question of why Phoemos (spelling??) doesn't teach them the skills. It's because he doesn't teach you. He only trades in the xp. Noldan (spelling??) is the guy you want to speak to. He is behind the fence on the other side of the South gate from Whip.

I know this was kinda a repeat of info, but seemed like there was a bunch of questions being asked.
