Wow it took me a little over 24 hours to meet the old guy and less then 12 to meet the sith real time. My guess is dungeons are probabally no good. Here is my best guess.

1. You need not be in a player city hell you can be anywhere asside maybe a dungeon or buggy kashyssk and most likely inside your house.

2. You do not have to be sitting in one place to catch him. He tried to chase me down on my speeder the first time and an hour later he found me doing a bounty mission on yavin. A mission I had just arrived at you guessed it he caught me when i got there.

3. The sith nailed me right on the edge of kadarra by the base. Hell I am sure I was still inside the city when they did i was programming a droid to do the mission.

There is obviously alot of bs floating around bout the going glowy. I heard I had to do the rebel themepark no i didnt. I heard you need to be shuttleing around no you dont. Hell sitting around probabally hurts your chances and shuttleing all over probabally dosent do anything for you. It seems when the old man gets his eye on you he is going to get you. He missed me once and came right back and got me on my next mission. My guess 24 hour timer nonsense is a story too.

Just avoid areas where you might be impedeing the old man like dungeons are buggy kashyssk. Do what you enjoy doing other then those two. Go mission group go surveying go do whatever he is going to find you.

He came to visit me on Dantooine in the middle of killing a mark about 24 hours afterI earnedmy last badge.

I didn't relog multiple times, nor did I take pointless shuttle trips or avoid npc cities. Those are all myths I believe. I just kept playing the game as normal, even space flight missionsand he eventually found me.

The sith guys found me while using the bank at my player city about 18 hours after the old man visited and less then 30 minutes after I logged on for my normal evening routine.

To be perfectly honest I didn't read all the other posts so please forgive me if my information is redundant.

It took me 2 weeks to get the old man to come (for the second time because I was rolled back with the CU on Chimaera) so don't feel too bad about your 3 days lol. Secondly, nothing is required to make him come faster. I sat in the middle of nowhere on Corellia for my first visit to get into the village. I did no shuttle hopping, no running around, no nothing. Also, I should add, if you're in combat when the Old Man comes he will run away and you'll have to wait a little longer forhim to come again (this also happened to me). Seems as though I had the worst luck with Old Man visits but it gave me a lot of information to pass on hehe.
