Thread: Lightsaber Trial Crafting quest, Please Help
r4_m9 wrote:Ok all, i have read the guides and have not seen if this is a bug or not. I got to the trial for crafting but i dont have the crafting kit or any thing else i was suppose to get with initiate. Do i have to go somewhere after i meditate at the shrine? Please Help.
First off, congrats on getting past Mel. I noted tyou needed help the other day. Glad you done it ok.
Now then..
You need to go and collect the resources you'll need to craft the saber and the crystal pack and the crafting kit.
If you look in your schematics on your datapad, you'll see the schematic is there. You just have to build it

What a nice post.

On a side note, is there some sort of guide somewhere on what kind of resources and the kinds of stats you should be looking for on your lightsaber?
Not sure offhand but you the resource stats u want should have High OQ and CD.
AS far as stats for a training saber, well you can't experiment as you don't get experimentation points till Novice Saber and additional ones moving up the Techniques tree.
Mine was something ike 147 Max damage 4.7 spd. Did it's job to get to novice sabers but sure was glad to ditch it and Make a 1st gen saber and be able to use a Power Crystal and a special hehe.

Correction, you get 1 experimentation point at Jedi Initiate to use on the training saber.

Final Lightsaber Names:

Fourth Generation Lightsaber

Two-Handed Fourth Generation Lightsaber

Double-Bladed Fourth Generation Lightsaber

Lightsaber Resource Requirements Inconsistencies:
-
The Second Gen Double-Bladed requirements for the Activator Mechanism (42x Non-Ferrous Metal) and the Handgrip (20x Inert Petrochemical) seem reversed when compared to the other generations of Double-Bladed sabers.
-
The requirements for the First Generation One-Handed and Two-Handed Lightsabers are different, while all other generations of the two sabers have the exact same requirements. Shouldn’t they be the same also, since they are basically the exact same hilt?
-
The Third and Fourth Generations of the Double-Bladed Lightsaber have the exact same requirement for the Emitter Shroud as the One-Handed and the Two-Handed Lightsabers, shouldn’t it require slightly more resources (based on the first two generations)?
-
Not to be too nit-picky, but shouldn’t all generations of the Double-Bladed Lightsaber require two Focusing Crystals?
-
