Ok, over the weekend, the old man came for tea and crumpetts. We talked, chatted, and he gave thiscool looking rock, right. (And it's a heavy sucker too).

Anyway, over the course of Saturday, the Sith came.... 3 friggin times. (3 sets of 3) (go and figure). I finally get a good datapad, and take out the camp (Well, actually, Andy did... (he's my Angler)) and now... at long last... I have a wp to this village on Dath and, *deep breath* I am afraid to go.

I have never been afraid of anything. I dont know what it is. Maybe I dont want to fail. But then, I got this far, didnt I?

I am not really elite combat. I mean, I have...

Brawler 4000

Marksman 1424

Novice Pistoleer

Medic 2224

Novice CH

Master Scout.

You would think that I would be able to do this. I am only about 60000 pts from TK Novice. I have so much xp in some of the profession boxes that I am no longer earning xp toward pistols, scouting, or smuggling.

Here I am babbling. ( A blonde moment).. Anyway, can a TK Novice, Pistoleer Novice with Medic and Scout skills do this?

Well, you will be able to reach the village (probably) by just being careful and avoiding red dots. The problem your going to have is the grinding for XP. You will at the VERY LEAST need one elite master skill to do this unless you want it to last for years. If you want to do TK and Pistoleer then that would be fine, but I would suggest Mastering whatever your going to master before you start the grind. The missions that you have to do (the combat ones anyway) will require you to be pretty strong in the last couple phases and if your just novice in a few branches, then you won't be able to complete them. Good luck and if you need help, just read the forums. People posting about grinding strategies all day here.

Well, I spent alot of time Saturday grinding on Pickett Protectors for my xp. my guildies let me go at them, and I just slug and slug and slug, and they throw heals at me. I racked up some 50000 xp in just over an hour of this. Now, this is still at level 4 brawler, so I am sure from what everyone has said that TK will go much faster. I look forward to it.

For the most part, they are solo missions. There is a mission in Phase 3 that is a toughie, and you can choose to do it with one other person and get an extra reward because of it. Also phase 4 is like 1 giant mission for the whole server. Sith just keep attacking the village and you (and everyone) has to defend it from them. I haven't seen this one yet but I've heard it can get a bit rough because some have up to 50k HAM and stuff like that.

From reading these posts, would I be wrong to say that you might have just started the game? If so, then you have plenty of time to become a Jedi. It's good that you got into a guild that helps you out with your grind, but remember, when you do become a Jedi they will dissapear because they will give you visibility if they see you light up that saber. Anyways, good luck!

I am new, well, somewhat.

I started the game in February. That is part of the problem. I still have yet to see how in the world you guys can take a new character and grind it to master tk, or master commando, or master ch in a day, or even a week. I have been at this for a month, and have only just now grinded scout, only to give it all up.

My suggestion would be to decide and finish the template that you intend to be grinding with.

You can still go to the village and Unlock the FS branches but you do need to decide how you intend to fill up those Branches.

I got a link to help me with my template, and I think I have found something. I am sorry to say, I am not going to be able to afford to do it through the commando approach. I will just sit back and prepare for a long and winding journey. Heck, may as well fill them all. Going to take ages anyway.

A little advice for you would be to read the forums of the professions most of them have some pretty good guides in them stickied at the top on good ways to level a profession quickly.

I take it your unconcerned with a regular profession and just want to get to being a Jedi.

If that is the case and your not interested in doing the Commando thing then IMO best template is Master Swordsman/ Master Rifleman.

Reason being is once you get used to the profession you can grind out FS XP fairly well and during the times when you don't feel like grinding you can hunt for the crystals/pearls you will need upon reaching Jedi.

I'm just making a suggestion as if you find another profession more enjoyable then go for it. What i suggested it the template I was and I liked it very much.
