Thread: Devs/csr's need to just start giving ppl with the phase 4 problem a free unlock

The Dev's have chosen to compound theproblem of this phase 4 bug by adding the frustration because of zero communication
There are many of us that that need this line to complete
In the case ofservers like Valcyn the quest becaomes nearly impossible after the first few days bacause of the massive amounts of siths and it takes several days to complete. In the first few days it is more doable because the people are there to group with. Getting a group together will be very difficult soon.
The Dev's have CHOSEN not to communicate, they know about this. Their lack of any sort of communication is by CHOICE.
They need to end the frustration.
They wonder whenmake posts to improvecommunity relations they get a flame fest. Their handling of this with the lack of communication is a prime example

a free unlock for nothing lol thats sad man the quests are so much easier and take less time than the grind you spend 3-4 days at most doing this quest so quit complaining

If youa ctually opened your eyes instead of flaming everyone, or if you have even tried this yourself, you would know that if you did Melee Defense, or Ranged Speed any previous Phase 4 you CAN NOT do the other. Yes the quests are easy per say IF YOU CAN DO THEM.

sad thing is... I did the melee defense QUEST last phase 4 and then i did the ranged speed 4 QUEST for this phase 4.. I guess I have been one of the lucky ones... O BTW its the weekend.. They dont work weekends..

Give them a few days. Those of us who got stuck on the vehicle control quest bug weren't happy about that either. But they managed to fix it up fairly quickly. It'll likely be fixed for Tuesday (well, you can hope), and that'll still leave you all with plenty of time to do the quest.

My suggestion is to just open up the quest for the people with this problem, i dun see the harm in it...

I dont want a free unlock i just want to start the quest. Ineed the enhanced reflex skill for my last unlock.
It woud'nt be so bad if i unlocked this skill last rotation because i could do something else but i stupidly unlocked ranged speed which will be useless when i start dropping rifleman for jedi "if i ever make it to jedi that is the combat upgrade may destroy fast xp building". So i need mellee defence and i dont want to wait 12 weeks for the next rotation to get it.
Sometimes you need to have a rant at these people, they are taking money from us every month to play this game, is it to much to ask for that game to actually work.

Why do you say it's bugged? I did def. last phase 4 and I did phase 4 last night for ranged speed. I had absolutely no trouble doing either. It sounds to me like your bugged.
Let me repeat: I have been through phase 4 two times now and I never had a problem with either the def. quest or the speed quest. Maybe I'm just lucky.
Btw that was my last quest. All 6 braches complete, now I'm just waiting for the old man again.

Actually, rants do work, if enough people do it. You know, the squeaky wheel and all that? Look what rants have done in the past.
It made the devs cap defenses so defense stackers actually could be hit
It made the devs nerf creature handler, EyeShot, and about half a dozen different weapons that unbalanced the game
It made the devs nerf Force Run 2, so that jedi couldnt hit for full damage while running around as fast as a speeder
There are so many more times that ranting got something done, so actually you are wrong. "Ya need to ejicate yerself bafor you type something"
The ranting probably would stop if a CSR actually said something like "We are now aware there is a problem, it is being sent to the developers" Instead you hear, "You need to wait until Phase 4 starts" "You OBVIOUSLY did a quest already this phase". People get tired of having their complaints to CSR only minimally read before a canned response is sent.
Customer: Hi, I am having a problem with this DvD player I just bought, it doesnt function
Customer Service: Oh, hi. DvD players are in the electronics section. You can purchase one from a Salesperson there
Customer: No, no. I already have a DvD player. I bought it here, it is defective
Customer Service: A detective? Why is someone shoplifting? *Picks Up Phone* "Get me security, we have a shoplifter in the electronic department"
Customer: OMG, man. No, I bought this DvD player here, yesterday, it is DEFECTIVE.
Customer Service: Did you follow all the instructions in the manual. You need to do everything the manual says
Customer: The manual is in Japanese, I can't read it.
Customer Service: You can't read? Being illiterate must be very difficult, Sir. Well, let me take a look at the manual
Customer: (Hands over DvD player)(Rolls eyes)
Customer Service: (Opens box, takes out manual) Hmm, well this here explains it, your manual is in Japanese. Why didn't you get the English one?

Honest to god, I think the average reading comprehension on these board is somewhere around Grade 1. You people need to read Scoooter's complaint slower. If you wantI can define the big words for you.
Scoooter, and a large number of people on all servers DID save up the exp for the line. But are unable to do the quest in Phase 4.
They did Ranged speed quest in Phase 4 months ago. Now in this Phase 4, months later this phase 4, they try to do the melee defense quest, and it tells them they need some R&R, as if they had already done a quest this, Phase.
Before you come up with the brilliant response of, "You must have done a quest already this, Phase" just stop talking
Valcyn server switched to Phase 4 sometime late this week, Thursday I think. Scoooter did NOT already do a quest this new phase 4. YES, the phase had shifted already, there were sith all over the village and dozens of people were doing said quest. The difference is. Anyone who had done ranged speed before, were getting a bugged response when they asked for melee defense.
Scoooter doesnt want a "free" unlock. He just wants to get what he earned. I watched him grind the 1.2 million FS exp for that line. I have helped him on his other quests. The quest he wants now is BUGGED. Is it beyond your ability to imagine there might be a bug in the system? If so, I have a nice piece of swampland to sell you.
There is a bug, people just want acknowledgement that there is a bug.
So, just stop with the inane chatter flaming Scoooter's post. It only makes you look stupid. What a bunch of tools.
