Not sure whether this is the right forum for this.....but here goes

Have just had my second visit from the old man, and got my wp to malichee. First problem was that the last crystal would not fully destroy, so checked the forums and found there was a known bug. Logged out and tried again......and success. However on my first paddy trial, i have killed the 20 baz nitches that i am instructed to do, and the geezer who gives me the mission will not respawn.

I have been back to the shrine, which says i am complete, i have logged out, run full scan, been off world and returned, all to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you solve it?

I think you get your quests from the Force Shrines...not from the Old Man. You've tried meditating at a Force Shrine though? Wierd...must be a bug.

You just have to repeat the trials that bug until they work.. Do not ride a swoop or any vehicle up to the npc. dismount at least 300m out from it and run up, do not burst run. I just did the sith camp andpaddy trialslast Friday.. the camp went off without a hitch, myself and 1 master defender solo'd it.. and then only 3 of the 15 paddy trials had the NPC despawn bug. On one of them the npc was actually in sight and targeted as i was approaching when it despawned. Its a real pain in the arse.

I went through 5 days of he11. Its hard but eventually it wont bug...just keep too it...u can do it!

Bugged the same way for me as well. On my third try of my first quest...kill 20 sludge panthers.

As a workaround, the dev could have at least let you restart without having to drive back to the shrine, but wait, the longer it takes to do these, the longer we'll pay. The devs are smart after all...

sure i can quit, but i am way too close to quit...or am I...must sleep...

I am really confused about these bug for the padiwan trials. I started the trials and got to the 4th one when the npc wouldn't spawn. Ever since then I am having problems with all my trials having npc's that don't spawn. If you restart the trials do you lose credit for the trials you have already successfully completed? If so, this could take forever. I've gone 3 days of pure hell already trying to do this trials and am so frustrated I'm about ready to quite swg after playing for nearly 2 years to finally be able to play my jedi character.

Does anybody have an input on exactly what happens when you restart the trials? Do the missions you have successfully completed count towards the 15 trials to get to jedi initiate? I think they changed the initiate box so you have to comlete all 15 missions before you are granted the initiate title. The last trial is to craft a saber that give you the jedi padiwan trial.

I could really use some support and feedback here from those of you who have already gone thru this. CSR's are so unhelpful regarding help with the bugged padiwan trials.

No....When you restart your are simply restarting. Nothing more. The best thing to do is Demount 400m away from your target. I was bugged 5 times. One of Which was on the Falumpasets trial. I almost cryed after i killed 20 and no NPC was there. But eventually its all better and then ur a paddy

Most missions that involve Rori are bugged. If you get a mission that starts on Rori,reset it while you are still at the shrine and get a new one that is not on Rori. NPCs will also disappear if you are aggroed when approaching. This can be a problem,depending on your faction standing in certain cities, you could get aggroed very easily. That is why you need to approach cautiously. You can reset missions with no penalty, just don't reset the whole trial, that will take you back to sqaure one.

okay, been redoing them as suggested, but the not burst running or using swoop hasnt made a blind bit of difference, i must have had 7 or 8 bug on me now. i am having most of my buggy missions in either Mos Entha, Nashal or Moenia.....

would be nice to find out if you guys are bugging in the same places or if it was just coincidence for me.

I think my character is bugged as the npc in front of MO Cantina will not spawn not matter how many times the trial is reset. Have been logging on for the last 5 days in a row and resetting quest 5-6 times and exact same thing happens. Something is seriously wrong and I think my character is totally bugged now. I took a few quests from Rori and had one work fine, but now I'm totally bugged and can't continue the trials.

My only option now is probably to reset the trials and start from scratch. Only thing is I have already completed 6 of the trials, which includes the hardest ones that include killing 20 baz nitches, 20 sluge panthers and 20 falumpestets. Doing this will wast 3 days of in game time doing these quest multiple times.

The system message saying you were authorized to begin the jedi padiwan trials came after you defeated Mellichae, so I assume if you reset the padiwan trials you don't have to do defeat Mellichae again.....you would simple start at the beginnig of the padiwan trials just as when you had just defeated Mellichae and started the padiwan trials.

Has anyone else had this problem where your trials are "stuck"? Forget about doing any CSR tickets, they can't and won't do anything in game to help you, and there is incredibly no in game work around for the bugs with npc's not spawnig for the padiwan trials. This is really sad but also true....and is a very troubling that this is the current state of the game after almost 2 years.

cheezwhiz, the guy spawns INSIDE the cantina. He appeared at the back on the right hand side for me, with the heading 'booking agent'.

I cant find the guy in the cantina at all its my first trial and no matter where it starts the guy in the cantina never spawns.
