Your wasting your time , jedi is now no better and in alot of cases worse than regular combat profs. It is the most hated prof in the game and constantly gets nerfed. If yo0u want to be a badass in pvp i reccomend tkm/swords with some doc and some sliced up kataarns . You will be just as good if not better than most jedi on your server in pvp and will save yourself about 4 months of the village. Now if you are grinding jedi just to have an extra character on the same server for free or to RP as a jedi then knock yourself out , but if you think you are getting jedi and becoming "awesome" you are very sadly mistaken.

Then how come nearly everyone is Jedi in pvp? Gee, Jedi must really suck.

Firstly - Garbage. I agree some regular templates are hardcore but there are somely truly awesome knights out there who will simply own in PvP. Period
Secondly - This is hardly an original post. You may as well call the subject - 'Iam unable to grind Jedi so I'll delude myself that its crap to feel a little better'.
You'll find little respect for this view on the FS (!) forum and its just more pointless flame incitement. You reckon you can be THE best PvPer on your server with no Jedi skills? Ridiculous
Now go away.

You are 1/2 right, jedi in general can get owned by some profs, but with some tapes and good foods they are one of the best.

You sir, will not be loaned my flame retardant suit. This is such the unnecessary post. I for one do not want a Jedi to become l33t, or however those uber dudes spell it. I don't even PVP and I'm a MBH. I actually want to roleplay a dark Jedi. And if I didn't, what is it any of your concern? No one ever said Jedi were supposed to be uber. Nor should they be. Most Jedi in Star Wars canon were not of the caliber of a Kenobi, Skywalker, or Yoda. So, if you don't want to grind out a Jedi, be my guest. Plenty of people don't. If you're too lazy and want us to stop grinding to join your pity party, suck it. If you are a Jedi and think that your $15/month is more valuable than mine, you can suck it for that one as well. Either way, go away.

I specifically said if you are grinding it to rp then more power to you
. It is perfect if that is your element . And to whomever said I cant grind a jedi I have already grinded 3 different temps on my jedi and have plenty of tapes and an above avg saber. And I got into some one on one battle last night with a tka/swords and it was a complete stalemate that he would have ended up winning because of one thing,,,, the force bar . All i was trying to do was let the wanna be 1337 doods know that they could be out having just as much fun with a temp similar to the onei fought last night and be just as good .
I have been full temp for quite a few months and play my reg toon alot more than the jedi , just some food for thought for people that could be enjoying other aspects of the game instead of mindlessly grinding for something that I feel is gonna be a big dissapointment to alot of people.

Well thats too bad for you, if you dont like it fine. Just let these folks have their fun with out you killing their buzz. not everyone has to like what you like just cause you nearly get smashed cause you cant find a temp to fit your play style doesnt mean you can discourage others who have worked hard for a long time tyring to get the hardest profession in the game down to a science.
basically dont whine about it, be about it. And if you dont like the words comin outta my mouth then bring it 'round my way
Illya Cetei -Dont need any giant flowery s^%$ here cause im like dat

jedi is not about being uber for me - its the feel of it - the feel of holding a saber - to know that i have achieved something that is damn hard to achieve.
I am a huge fan of SW and being a jedi in SWG is something i have always wanted. It may even bring out a RPer in me
who knows hehe

What are you FS grinders so bitter about?I know the grind makes you crazy, but damn.First of all, the original poster is right. Jedi isnt what its cracked up to be and thats a stone cold hard fact that you will soon realise. Only if you somehow manage to get a perfect or near perfect saber can you even think about being good at pvp, regardless of what your game skills are, it just aint gonna happen.
Those "legendary" Jedi pvpers would suck too if they didnt have their uberpre-nerf pearls in their saber. That is the only thing that seperates the goodJedi fromone who can barely avoid death from a run of the mill bh. And getting a perfect saber right now, aint gonna happen either. Docs/cms can heal better than you, and theres plenty of other professions and templates with near defenses to a master defender jedi who will easily outdamage you in pve all day, and in pvp unless you have one of the above perfect sabers, youll get your ass handed to you.
Going master powers? Youll be good against regular professions but slapped around with impunity by any Jedi within choking and cloaking distance. Get used to cloaking in this situation, until its nerfed anyways.
Master healer? lol...
Master enahncer...you get some useful skills and some fluff. Its actually one of the better ones. But theres not too many skills that will actually help you kill your opponets. Most master enhancers have very little defense, so get ready to use stasis a lot.
master defender..well like above, it isnt gonna help you kill anything. This will help a lot in pve, but in pvp its not really needed, all you need is improved force aura, which is a nice skill...but again, it'll just make sure that you die slower, or maybe have a chance to get away.
Master lightsaber? Why? anyone with two branches in the lightsaber tree is damn near as good as you...
Its all about the pearls, not skill or template.
