So umm... how so you tell if a crystal is "premium" or not.... I hear of people selling these untuned "premium" crystals and as far as I can tell you can not tell if a power crystal is good or bad until you tune it....

If you are a Jedi andexamine it, you will see it's rating under quality

Inopo Komarri - Master Doctor/Master Swordsman 6/12/03-5/5/05
Nenya - Light Knight, Master Saber/Master Healer/Enhancer 4004 1/25/04-5/5/05

/examine
It will have a quality rating asscociated with it. Poor, Fair, Good, Quality, Select, Premium, Flawless is the order, if I recall correctly.

As a Jedi when you look at a crystal you will see that it says Quality - XXXX So you can tell the quality of it just not the stats. The stats you will see when you tune it.

You can tell the quality of the crystal/pearl but as for the exact stats you find that out after you tune.

You can tune a flawless pearl and get the same results as a poor crystal. It's a pretty random process.

Ahh... ok that makes more sense... BUT... the whole process is so random what the hell is the point of paying 3mil for a premium crystal (which some do) if you get the same kind of results from a poor one???

From what I've seen, the results aren't totally random. In my experience, the min/max values are the same for all crystals, but the average tune values are much higher based on quality. You can either tun 50-100 poors or 1-4 premiums to get your 40+/-7+ crystal.
