well a few days ago i finished the melee def. quest with no problems...then yesterday i went to the village since i capped my xp and was goin to convert. when i got there there were 6 npc's standing around no sith...after i entered the camp i got jumped by 5 thugs, 2 outlaws, and 3 pirates. i killed a the pirates and outlaws but then go wasted by the thugs. i ran away once into the building by paemos only to argo about 4 more sith. after my HAM got back to max i ran out to help a friend that needed a little help and was omw back to paemos when 2 sith thugs attacked me and killed me in two hits. i was wondering if there is a way to get into the village when it is safe and if the sith de-spawn after a certain amount of time or if u have to kill them?

Thanks for your help

The Sith start spawning every 90 minutes. Lately it seems to have been occuring at :05 or :35 past the hour. They spawn for about 45 minutes and then gradually dwindle away (even if not killed). So your best best would be to ask around for the spawn schedule and then try to arrive at the village within 30 minutes or sobefore the next spawn.

Also, it will help if you do /peace, ride all the way to Paemos on your speeder, hop off, do your business with Paemos quickly, hop back on your speeder, and ride out.

True, I'm not even sure if/peace works against Sith... and it seems to be impossible to get out of combat mode when hiding in the huts. But at least it's worth a shot, and it doesn't cost anything .At least as documented, doing /peace in advance of an encounteris supposed to make you avoid striking back when aggroed. In some cases this might make the aggro go away faster.

Either get to the village while the sith or not around, or wait for them to despawn.

There really isn't any other way to be safe.

They'll aggro you, guaranteed.

If you're in the village, try to avoid killing pirates, too - they're more rare for the phase 4 mission. if you can avoid killing them, that is.

Since you can't converse while aggro'd, depending on how many people are in the village you might just have to wait it out. It sucks, but I had to do it just the other day.

Also, keep in mind that if someone attacks the mob that's aggro'ing you, you can /peace and not have any aggro. But only if someone else attacks.

Might be a good idea to have a friend come with you during conversions - let them Swoop through and distract the Sith, then you run in and talk to Paemos.

Hmm.. maybe I'll try riding in with a peace macro running, see if it keeps off the aggro...

/peace

Last time around, there seemed to be a stretch of about 30 minutes or so between attacks, with each attack generating about three waves of Shadows that go for about 20 to 30 minutes each. When the waves are at their peak, groups of Shadows seem to spawn just about everywhere. However, there did seem to be an interval of perhaps five to ten minutes or so near the end of each wave where the action seems to peter out. That would give you enough time to (hopefully) talk with Paemos and cash in your XP or slip over to Noldan and train. What I did last time, if I didn't feel like fighting Shadows, was ride straight into the center of town and duck into a hut as you did, and wait for one of the lulls. Best, of course (if I were lucky), was to hit that 30-minute hiatus.

LOL... I do have to caution that my time-length estimates were arrived at without the benefit of any glances at my watch for specific time measurement. This phase is a great way to introduce oneself to the true meaning of insanity.

It is really annoying. Going to village to convert is bad enough, not being able to convert because of getting aggroed is a pain. If I could just get the captain's quest (bugged) I could at least kill some siths to do that quest.

I have one idea though that I will try next time. You loose aggro if get incapped right? Then you could go to the hut next to Paemos and have someone incap you, then convert.

You can disconnect for a period of time, go make a sandwich or something then log back in. You usually lose aggro this way then can run outside and convert. Sometimes they just aggro you again a few seconds after loading back up, but it may be quicker than waiting for despawn.

How long do you need to disconnect? I have tried that but still had aggro when getting back. But I guess logging off for that long will also make you loose your buffs.

God that quest was fun!

I missed the first phase 4 as I was taking a break, but god I had so much fun yesterday. I love big events like that.

And to follow on from your post, I have the same problem, drove to village, past the gates(And a ton of players) got to Paemos, next thing you know 4 Thug's are swarming me, I actually managed to get away before they killed me, circled the village, they had spread out by the time I got back. Converted my exp, drove off smiling as I heard the cries of "PIRATES HERE!" and "HELP PLZ!". Good luck I shouted.
