Thread: Developer's Conspiracy Uncovered

OK, this is the second time I'm trying to post this, as the first one didn't appairently get posted. Just another piece of evidence to add to my pile.

Ok, the conspiracy states that the developers are stepping in and intentionally trying to hinder certain players' ability to unlock their jedi. I do have some evidence that supports this, and I will post it in the order that I found it.

I used 4 holocrons in the old system, as well as grinding out to master a total of 20 professions. When the Village system came into play, I had only 2 free trees, 2 free trees out of 20 mastered professions? I think the odds to that are a little out of hand, no one is that unlucky, espescially being as the only 4 professions which gave me credit were the ones the holocrons told me to master.

I was attempting to go to the village to do the phase 4 quest. The first trip there, I was killed, as I tried to go back to the village, every time I would get within 1500m of the village, I would crash out... Every time... I would have to wait the full 30 minutes for my character to reset to get in, and I'd be 3000 m outside of the village.

I was attempting to do the phase 4 quest last time in the last 2 days of the phase. I managed to get all but 2 Sith Shadow Pirates killed when the final spawn started. There were 2 pirates, one outside, and one called out to me that was inside. As soon as the second was called out to me, my client crashed, and I was unable to log back in until after server reset. What a coincidence eh?

I have finally grinded out all of my xp needed to unlock. We have scheduled maintenance for Saturday, Apr 16, the day of server shift. The server never came down for the maintenance, and the phase never changed.

Out of all the servers I have characters on, not a single one changed phase... the server I have them on are

Corbantis, Eclipse, Intrepid, Starsider, and Tempest.

Call me a paranoid conspiracy theorist if this evidence isn't enough for you, but yeah... have a good day.

Yeah, posing your computers technical problems as the dev's conspiricay to ruin your FS grind did make me laugh.

Thank you.

It's not evidence. It's tesimony. Sorry. Just hang in there little buddy you'll get it. Be glad you have all of your XP finished before the CU. Part of being a Jedi is patience...

actually, it wasn't technical problems on my end, as I had tried between 3 computers the first time, and 2 on the second time with phase 4...

I work in IT, and I know how to keep a computer running properly. I even have 3 dedicated partitions on my drive, one for basic use, one for games in general, and yet another for SWG PvP, which I'm not even considering as more than one of my computers... and guess what, each partition has a separate installation of SWG.

Oh, as long as none of my computers develop strange glitches this phase when it comes to getting in proximity of the city, and not anywhere else, I'd say I've got it.

Partitions are bad

What type of IT work do you do? What Certs, degrees do you hold? What jobs have you held, current positon (salary/benefits?).

I love to know other peoples experiences with the industry.

Partitions have saved my @$$ more times than I can count on one hand, then again, they've also seriously taken up time on balancing out.

I work as a network admin for several small businesses here in Sheboygan, WI. One of my titles here at my main job (job market sucks around here) is network administrator.

As far as education, I do not currently hold any certifications, however I have sat in through entire semesters on courses pertaining to the field, as well as advanced my knowledge in my free time. I will be getting a formal education when time/finances allow, I'm still somewhat of a rookie, but I have people at the local ma and pop shops around town call me up for input on fixing certain problems. I run my own repair shop out of a spare room part-time to get a little money for things here and there.

If you really want to get a challenge, try keeping an old DOS system running on a computer running a celeron 90 w/ 16 megs of ram, the server is only running 32 megs of ram, while the idiots that work here get online via dial-up downloading all kinds of spyware, virii, and the like. I've told the owner give me just $300 and I'll have the system up and running like he's never seen it before, but alas, he doesn't want to spend any money on this hotel.

Basically, my experience is still small, however I've never run into an issue that I couldn't fix effectively, and never have been called back to repair something that I've screwed up.
