Thread: Killing Mel post CU what are some of the strategies?
I only know a couple jedi, so i asked them for help, then they asked their friends for help, etc... Pretty soon i had a full party of Mel-killers on my side. My strategy with these types of situations is usually to study every detail and plan every move, and execute surgically. But my group had other plans. It was pretty much an onslaught before i even had a chance to use my health crystal or take food. My strategy quickly turned into: Don't die. and Hit Mel once. I was a little disappointed to not be involved more. But it worked, and i guess you can't argue with results, and i am very gratefull for the help. Good luck.

Suggestions:
1. Have at least a group of 5 people, a Jedi and Rifleman are very helpful. As are a CM & or Doc. Definately need someone to rez.
2. You have to start with the blueish green crystal (use the rifleman) and you have to take them all out first.
3. Pull the sith while the rifleman is taking out the crystal they're about CL 78 or 76 I can't remember.
4. Once all the crystals are gone more Sith will spawn and agro you so it's essential to have the first spawn cleared by then. Pull and kill the 2nd spawn before taking on Mel and his #2.
I've been in two Mel hunting groups, and both tipped heavily the people who helped them defeat Mel. After all, the party members really aren't getting anything out of it.
Oh, but strategies:
First group didn't have any Jedi, was a tough match. Crystals / Henchmen (as necessary ) / #2 / Mel seemed to be the appropriate order, and two rezzers were in the group and both were needed. Winning this one gave me a sense of accomplishment.
Second group had two or three Jedi. Nothing but a straightforward, open onslaught. Somewhere between groups 1 and 2 the #2 guy had been nerfed from 95th level down to 80th level, so even he wasn't a problem. Rather... quick and uninteresting.

I would let that reflect the tipping. Keep in mind too, alot of people you ask will volunteer and not require payment. I have offered money to do this mission in the past, and not a single person took me up on it, they just said, "I'll do it for free."
To be honest I found killing Mell to be a little bit of a let down me and a friend were able to kill the entire camp in about 4-5 min's.I was kinda pumped up and it seemed a little to easy.
All we did was find the crystal that would not heal and take it down without argo'n any of the sith,when all the crystal's were destroyed we just started to kill everything Mell is only CL 85 with the rest being CL 80 and down (only one CL of 80 at that bloodmoon I think was his name).
