seriously..ther are too many jedi, u have to be playing swg for a month with tk/swords and u can get it with ease. I think they should bring in a suprise phase, the village gets totaled for a couple of months to slow down the rate. or make jedi a normal prof cause thats what its basicalyl is now.

You need not worry about the Jedi population. I'm just using it for my free character and with everyone complaining about the FS grind, I'm sure they'll do the same as me once they find out how long it actually takes to go up the Jedi lines.

Yep, same here. Finishing FS grind = 15$ per month - Non Ebay even.

Too many Jedi? I just started the grind just this month. It will be at least May before I finish the village. That seems like forever to me, but I don't have any problem with it. There shouldn't be a thousand Jedi running around. I'm glad it takes forever. Or maybe this is just because I'm not a melee weapons expert, or because I'm taking 15 hrs of finance classes. :-p Regardless, Jedi should be something you have to be committed to in order to obtain. The system seems fine to me (as a non-macro grinder).

Ever heard of a thing called the combat nerf dude, what do you think this is going to do to the FS grind?
1. Weapon damage/speed will be dramatically reduced.
2. It will take more then 1 person to hunt.
3. Grenades will no longer be combat XP.
I could go on, but i'm tired and don't feel like it.

Jedi should be available to everyone.
(and I'll even go so far as to say that if you're not a "power-grinder", you should still be able to unlock your Jedi in the same amount of time.... 18 weeks)
I bought the game to play a Jedi, but I refused to grind. SOE forces me to change my playstyle, and abandon my fun, to get the prize that I bought the game for.

CU will be great!
Specially the part that you will need more than 1 person to hunt (depends on what u are hunting and your prof ofcourse).
But from what ive heard it's not stated for sure taht grenades wont give combat xp?

This is a classic thread of "remove all the Jedi except mine".
So true, we can start limiting the jedi by excluding those who think there are to many Jedi from becoming one. Would that make you feel better

I have a better solution.
Jedi perma-death.
Then rich crafters who just wake up one day and decide "hey.. i'm gonna use my millions of credits and my million of resources to grind Jedi" would start disappearing.
I know a couple of those types are on Wanderhome.

Yes, like me. But don't matter as long as I can keep my second character slot
. Also I can tell you that it is much easier to grind to Jedi using combat than it is with crafting. I have done/are doing both.
Don't know that many who have got Jedi by crafting on WH except for me and Beer. And I am prettythat I am one of the few that will not gone that long route and not continue with Jedi. Hehe Padawan but not Jedi. I am just making myself a better crafter (but only FS experimentation is worth having) and to get a new character to play with.
Anyway perma-death is a bad solution (guess you were joking but many think that serious). After spending months grinding your Jedi, you loose your connection (or anything else that you can not control like a CTD) in the middle of a fight and when you get back you have lost your jedi. That is pretty tough. Yes, would be a lot less Jedi though.
Think we rich capitalist pigs should be able to buy or Jedi for let say 200 millions

I'll be finsihing up Jedi on WH with the crafting FS trees. I have a secret grindign weapon tho. I ground out 180,000 FS crafting XP in an hour. Of course I had three days prep time, but it beats the cramping caused by clicking so much.

I grinded 6 combat lines just to unlock the fastest and now im spending 6 millions of ressources to grind 2 of the crafting branches, it takes a week with 10 BER 13 harv to get 1 million ressources on a 70% spot
