Thread: So anyone else out there just waiting?
I'm waiting too, I have 5 unlocks and 5 trees trained, 1.3m in senses XP and 1.4m in combat prowess XP, so i have to wait for phase 3 to come and unlock my 6th. In the mean time, i have to decide if I unlock range defense, or luck.
I know your pain. A friend of mine grinded day in and day out, about 30 hours during weekends and it took him 15 weeks of non-stop grinding to reach padawan with master fencer. Me, I did 2trees the hard way, filling up my two-handed xp with swordsman and going to the village for a pathetic 60k of FS XP. I estimated i had to go to the village about 110 times. And pre-cu, medical XP was capped at 60k (i think) so doing a tree with medical XP took many trips
On the other hand, those who grinded the hard way had a great gift with the 2 weeks /respec. Trading 5 novice boxes for a Tier-1 and a Tier-2 box? That is a super sweet deal also concidering a Tier-1 skill takes 10x more xp then a novice box, and than the Tier-2 takes 20x more XP.
So, my friend who made to padawan the hard way, filled his template the easy way. Took 15 weeks to go from glowy to padawan, and then 2 weeks to go from padawan to having 249 skill points in Jedi and ready for Knight.
But if I would have been a jedi knight before the CU, and would see all of this now, then yeah, i'd be furious to see that. The question we need to ask is, why did SOE allow this? By giving us double XP week, and also doubling the XP conversion (which resulted in quad xp), plus the /respec, they made it so that every padawan had a golden opportunity to be ready for knight, and that every glowy person would get a golden opportunity to get all the XP needed to become padawan.
So, why did they allow those 2 free tickets (glowy -> padawan, and padawan -> knight).
Because the CU did not sit well with an overwhelming majority of people. They needed a distraction, and wanted to reward people that stuck around. They lost a lot of their playerbase due to the CU, and the double XP times were their way of saying thanks for staying.

Count me in on this boat. Have all the FS exp I need for the 6 branches, and just waiting on Phase 3 now for my final unlock.

It's frustraiting to see how fast other guild members went Jedi in this time and thinking about me who started the grind pre CU.
Double XP was a good idea but I wouldn't have done it another way, granted it user based in hours for the downtime of the server so every player should have get his 48h and those were then hours that runs when he's actualy logged in that would be more realistic and more correct then these
If I could have the choice to get 1 or 2 free days for grinding in 1 of those periods that would have shorten my grind as everyone else but for a casual player of max 5-7 hours a week it will take ages...
But congrats to you

I hate you people that got the whole grind on a silver platter. I did maybe 1-1.5 branches with this double XP and I'm waiting, I had to do it the HARD way pre CU. Miffs me off to no end.
