Thread: At server reset?
Dont feel bad I got thru the whole speaking with the old man to not get a crystal nor the mission in my journal since then I have not seen hide nor hair of the old man nor the siths and this was 4 days ago. I went ahead and contacted the gm's only to get a half behind response like always never a fix to the problem which once again makes me mad because I am paying to play this game and not getting the service.
Now I am figuring the server got reset yesterday for the patch they rolled out and still no old man I am getting abit fed up with the whole thing.

It was not suppose to be encouraging I am just saying what happened to me and I was not afk and went thru the entire motion of telling the oldman I would protect the crystal, now basically I am stuck in limbo land not knowing if the oldman is coming back, the sith will attack me or basically the whole FS aspect of it is over for me.
Now all the devs can tell me is to wait until the oldman comes back but that has been well over 3 days ago and still nothing. I am just saying that this is a great start to the path of trying to be a jedi and if this happens what will happen along the road.

Dont feel too bad. I became glowie the night before the CU. So I was out trying to figure out the new combat system when I got my first visit. I was getting my tail handed to me by a bunch of Valarians. So I was running away. One of the Valarians was being very persistant. He kept following me....Then I realized he wasn't a Valarian, he was the old man. When I realized that and stopped, he turned and ran away.
The next day he showed up when I was in the middle of a group of Dewbacks....missed him again. (This time I never even saw him, just noticed the system message after he was gone).
2 days later he finally caught up with me when I wasn't distracted.
What happens if you tell the old man you never thought you were force sensitive. Does he go away permanently?
I have never heard of anyone doing this.

Anyway, as is consistant with my luck, I happened to be AFK when the old man came to see me today. I came back just in time to get through his first couple of questions and then BAM - The mysterious old man has run away.
Is there a set time for when I can expect him to come back? Someone told me it won't be til after the next server restart.

Nah, don't worry about it. A buddy and I were out pvp'ing one time while he was waiting for the old man to visit. The old man actually came during the fight and started trying to talk to him in the middle of it when my friend got killed. By the time he cloned and when back to where the old man was he was gone but came back less than a day later.

Was your inventory full at the time of the old man visit? If so, that could be a possible problem. If not, try shuttle hopping from player city to player city. It may help. You could also try staying in front of a player city shuttleport. If all else fails, be persistant with your CRS contacts. The squeaky wheel usually gets the oil.

Don't worry, I wasn't offended or bothered by your post.It was actually kind of good to know what 'could' happen.
Thanks everyone. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what happens
