Thread: Crazy Template Idea

As crazy as this is going to sound, I can not stop thinking abou this idea. I am just not brave enought to do it.

LS 0404

Def 4400

Enh 4404

Heal 4204 or 4240 or 4024

All 250 sp and not one master.

I know there is a lot of long time knights that have said double master for the the extra force and power.

But with the CU and it really being a new game, would it be complete suicide to not only not do a double master but to not master at all?

I really wish I could have tested this first on the TC, Live is really no place to make us test ideas.

This is only an Idea, would like constructive critism

nah thats not crazy, its pretty hardcore

you lose force max and regen but force pool flies away as it is anyway.

Yea I agree it goes way to fast now that they will have to change this.

One thing would be to craft a few sabers with MLS before dropping it.

I also hear that the melee speed and melee accurarcy from the FS tree are suppose to work with LS now.

Thanks for the feedback

I've recently finished my Jedi template and have run killed a few BH, played with the specials and it is good fun, I am now waiting for the Knight trials to be turned back on so I can get a decent robe.

While waiting for this I find myself wanting to make my alt into a powers Jedi to play on the days I don't want to wave glowsticks So I am starting the process again with my alt! Yes I am crazy.

Now the most annoying part I found of the whole FS grind first time around was the driving to the village - I think someone calculated it as 23 hours, so I want to cut this down as much as possible hence the following slightly odd template :

Brawler 4000
Marksman 0004
Medic 0400
Scout 4040 - Harvest XP
BH 0444 - Carbine XP/Pistol XP/Rifle XP
Combat Medic 4000 - Healing XP
CH 4000 - CH XP
Commando 4030 - Combat XP/Heavy Weapons XP

The theory behind it is to max as many types of XP as possible, I figure in a group it would still be a usefull member and I can potentially be gathering 4 different types of XP at every missions stop (CH/Medic/Weapons/Combat).

I was thinking of a squad leader temp originally but noticed that is pure pistol xp now which is covered for less skill points in BH.

Do you get combat xp when using BH pistol/carbines/rifles ?
Can anyone else think of a better template to achieve this ?
Am I crazy not getting at least one master ?
Has anyone else unlocked their jedi alt as a jedi - does it all work correctly being an alt char ?

Also - themepark badges, from what I understand/have seen, the Vette and the Warren badges are currently not possible to obtain. Is it in fact still possible to get 'glowey' with these broken ?

From what I can see in the FAQ it is only possible to get 4 Themepark badges and 5 are needed to complete the 'content' part of glowey, the alt in question I am thinking of using currently has 0

Thanks

Hmmm... interesting idea on the template. It might work just fine, just seems very odd... hehe. And yes, the Warren should be just fine as far as I know... Helped a friend get through it a few days ago. Had no problems whatso ever, except the fact that he would go afk every 5 mins... so it took forever.... lol

I only question what your final Combat Level would be. If it's too low since you don't have any masters, that could be a problem.

Is the respec period for your alt over yet?

Thanks for all the replies so far.

Unfortunately yes, I was so busy getting my Jedi template perfected that I only thought about this after the respec had run out for the other chars. I figure quickest way to get xp is in a big group now anyway so that should bump up the combat level and if I am going solo I can group with my other account that is level 80 - assuming it works at distance.

Good to know the Warren can still be done

No your missing the point like i was a MBH Mcarb my carb xp would cap at 1.2 mill now rifles and pistols would cap at 900k and combat 300k and so by you not reaching a tier 4 on a combat prof im sure your xp cap would be lower on that weapon wich sure i guess you wouldhave a bunchof different types of xp to trade in but really Combat and Reflexs use combat and weapons xp and Crafting and Senses use scout med and whatever.. so the cap of a weapon skill at master is 1.2 mill the cap on teir 4 is 900k why would you want your skills to cap lower i mean sure you get all different types of xp but it will take you 4 times longer to grind out and fill 1 tree in combat or refllex's simply by grinding out all the other crap for things you havnt even unlocked yet .

I guess a bunch of 900ks would be ok but heres my main complaint about your temp unless theres a way to pump up combat xp i for the most part by the time i finish maxing out my 2nd weapon its not too far to go to cap out my Combat xp wich really does the damage on the force xp exchange and i actually respeced to tkm, master swords and having 2 skills that cap at 1.2 mill will put me about 1/2 of a mission to cap out combat xp at 300k.

For things like the medic, scout, marksman, etc. the exp cap is going to be crazy low. I'm trying to remember what the scout cap is. I'm pretty sure it's under 200k. If you compare that to my Master pikeman, where I can gain over a million exp before I cap. Not to mention that, if your combat level isn't high enough, you're losing potential experience. The higher the CL, the higher the experience you'll gain.

yeah that is a big thing if your not a cl 80 you wont get CL 80 lvl of xp making the village grind even longer

also, from what i have observed from my soloing (yes .... soloing is still possible post cu) you seem to get a fixed amount of exp from a crit. when you throw in healing and creatures the set exp get divided up between whatever skills you used while killing the crit based on how much they affected the kill. Say a crit gives 5k xp... if you shot it once with a rifle and then healed yerself the rest of the time while yer pet killed it you would get something like 200 rifle, 3200 ch exp and 1600 medical exp. These are just wild numbers off the top of my head but you get the idea. With multiple exp sources you are just spreading the exp around not really getting it faster.
