Thread: Template Best Choice Need advice
I need advice.
I am currently Master Swordsman & Master Dancer. (no comments please!) I am done with all of my Heightened Senses lines (so I can get rid of dancer now) and need to grind combat/reflex XP now. I want to switch to a double-combat mastery with my respec.
I have been reading a bit around the boards and there seems to be some difference of opinion about whether ranged or melee is better at this point.
I was originally gonna go Master Swordsman/Master Pikeman (so I can get the area attacks), but now I'm leaning toward a Master BH/Master Pistoleer or Master BH/Master Rifleman. Since this is my last respec, I don't wanna screw up. Please give me your advise about what would be the best template to switch to for me to get the XP for my FS lines and for the Padawan grind.
Thanks in advance!!

If you choose the right columns you'll get one or two area's to choose from, such as fan shot from pistoleer and full auto area from carb. MBH I believe also increases you're combat xp cap, although im not 100% sure that this is a requirement (my jedi doesnt get combat xp, and my alts dont do much grinding).
An example template could be... Master Bounty Hunter, Pistoleer xxx4, Rifleman 4xxx, Carbineer 4xxx, and the requirements of 4444 marks, and 4xxx scout. This will leave sufficient SP to get 6 full columns in FS, and have 3 points leftover.
I suppose a similar setup for melee professions would be just as acceptable. Additionally, changing MBH for some Commando will allow you to get heavy weapon's xp too.

I understand that if you die as a Jedi then it is perminent...is this true? I would like to be a Jedi, but I don't want to risk loosing my fav. charactor
Please stop spamming the same question in every thread. You have already been answered. No, if you die you do not lose your character. There was "permadeath" early on in the game for Jedi but that has long since been removed.
If you die to a Bounty Hunter while you are a Padawan you will lose experience and need to reacqurie it. That is the sum total of all the negative side of dying as a Jedi atm, at least that I am aware of. The new changes to BH terminal missions will probably make BH missions against you much rarer than they would be right now in any case.
Asking teh same question again and again in multiple threads is annoying, and will usually not get you an answer any sooner. If you don't have the patience to wait for a response, you might as well give up the game because it takes a lot more patience than that to play it ![]()
