until phase 3 and I finally, after playing SWG for over a year, unlock my Jedi character. Anybody else in this same boat?

Things have change alot during this time, my first real template was master TKM/brawler/musician. I remember when I started all I heard was hologrind this, and hologrind that. I briefly considered putting myself through such tedium, but then I came to a realization I need to fully experience the game first. I wanted to learn every aspect, from combat to crafting. I had a great time entertainng others and providing my guild with mind buffs so we can dominate in pvp.

I must also thank double exp week, because it allowed me to grind all the FS experience I ever needed in a few day period. I could feel dirty about it, but I figured it would be enterprising to use this gift provided by SOE to continue my characters progression.

I guess my point is, to all the new players don't jump right into the slump of badge hunting, FS grinding, and the overall jedi experience. Theres much to be down, many others to meet and spend time with.

Oh, and starting my char over is giving my gut a slight hurt from thinking about it.

ill be unlocking as well problem is im moving house and it will be on the 2nd day of missions where you can only do 3 a day

i too will unlock my last phase during phase3. don't quite have the xp banked but i fugure i'll have finished this grind within the next 2 weeks. then the real fun begins from what i understand.

i agree that new players should explore and discover what swg has to offer before they jump right into jedi grind mode. i've played a little over 7 months (right before cu) so i feel lucky to have come such a long way in a short time. yes respec and double xp helped to get me to lvl80 and made things easier from the start. but, more important was just learning, asking questions, getting to know people. have fun with the game.

i will enjoy weilding a lightsaber, but will enjoy creating my alt character just as much, just to try new professions and have new experiences.

i would think they are using that 3 week per phase and do some math, assuming they will grind enough before they unlocked to actually get the skills also.
then add 3-4 days after last unlock to complete last mission and wait for old man

Bah, i could be a jedi this week if i had the time to finish the grind, for i have to study, so i excpect it somewhere next week, propably the next weekend

Well, at least i'm close

Ill be unlocking phase 3 aswell but i heard the phase changes today

a m8 of mine got the unlock and the oldman the same day. shuttle hopping so im gonna try the same

i unlock phase 3 but i got 3 more branches to grind damn its gonna take a while

ahh your lucky man, i dont finish until the next phase 2 comes around (would be earlier had i not missed phase 1)
