Just to get this out of the way....

The jedi grind (that is the grind for xp once you are jedi) is harder than ANY other grind out there. Secondly, the jedi nerfs are always much worse and much more detrimental than any other nerf for any other profession ever in the history of the galaxy. In fact, jedi have it worse than anyone in any MMO EVER.

Ok...done...everyone knows how hard jedi have it. So please please please stop coming around to every thread about a grind issue and telling people the same packaged response "If you can't take this grind you'll hate jedi" or every nerf thread and saying "If you can't handle this nerf you'll hate jedi". We all know how poor your lot in life is. You don't need to continually inform us about how you have to walk to paddi school uphill both ways in knee deep snow.

For some people the grind ENDS with jedi. Not everyone plans to grind their way to a full template jedi. Some people simply want to play as one. And keep in mind that while you may be getting 1k per kill while we are getting 6, our 6 is still 0 jedi xp. We have every right to be frustrated when the "finishline" is silently moved while we're still running the race.

Maybe I was unclear in the intent of the post...

I'm grinding FS right now too. I posted this because I'm not thrilled with the 1:30 fs to combat xp trade. I'm also tired of reading responses from jedi who tell everyone to give up because the jedi grind is "so hard".

I'm right there with you guys...once I get my saber it won't BE a grind. I'll be having fun playing as a jedi and building at my own pace.

Basically what the original post boiled down to (or was supposed to) was. "Ok, fine. Jedi xp is slow and now everybody knows it so you can stop telling us. We don't care."

Read the post again now that I've explained it. Hopefully it'll make more sense now.

P.S. No, I don't think that I'm a vet who's better than everyone.

umm yeah... Considering full template is almost invincible against any other non-jedi, I have no problem with the devs making it harder. in fact, I wisht hey would.

hehe too me the jedi grind is just as easy I grinded out my friends jedi too a full template in 1 and a half week. But then again i have no life so hey . Got payed for it if your wondering why i did it.

I dunno, I didn't think the Jedi grind was all that bad. Slow, but manageable.

The FS grind is just boring, but it's definitely not hard. It's not even all that long, really, but it seems that way when you're doing it.

My opinion is that it's entirely too easy to unlock Jedi in this game. I'm a village grinder that did all the professions just to try and make it harder on myself because I felt like FS was too easy and wanted a greater challenge, so I made one up. =)

FS isn't hard, it's just long. Jedi is pretty tough in the early going because you suck so bad and your combat level gets down around 60, but once you're up around 4k Force it's all down hill.

I wish FS were harder, but nerfing the combat xp conversion doesn't do anything except make a pointless grind more pointless. I'd like to see an unlock system that's more quest-based than the current "go kill a couple hundred thousand critters" method.

How is it that connection with the Force comes by slaughtering thousands of innocent wild creatures? There should be a long-ass series of quests, not this 1-quest-every-3-weeks-for-4-months crap.

Stick with it, guys. Those of you that want it badly enough will do it no matter what. Good luck.

I agree with the original poster. I'm now a jedi, and it was tough, especially being a hybrid character stuck at CL 56 as a full-template. Everyone told me to quit, that I wouldn't make it, especially because of my CL, I would get burned out on the grind, blah blah this, blah blah that. Well, don't listen to them! I stuck my ground, and I did it. I proved that you don't have to be a CL 80 to make jedi, all those people who said I couldn't do it, well, I bet you guys feel stupid now. It is hard, even harder if you're not full-temp combat and CL 80. But for most doing the FS grind, it's not really about the endless grinding, it's about getting that glowstick. The people who really want it, will do whatever it takes to get it, period. So yeah, stop telling us how hard it is, how long it will take, because most people will find out pretty early on what it takes to become a jedi, and if they still want to do it, they know that they are going to have to work hard for it.
