Thread: For the trolls who think Grenades are making Jedi appear faster...

Dear Trolls,

In case you haven't realised, your petty whines and arguments, about how the grenade grind is creating Jedi so much faster, are totally unfounded and incorrect.
Why is this?

Let's take a look at the basic facts shall we:

  • All players going through the village must take AT LEAST 18 weeks to unlock their 6 branches.
This in and of itself is the gate that we all faced.

  • Each 3 week phase, a player can fill out an entire branch with using weapons xp by capping out their 900k weapons xp, here's the biter, ONCE, yes, i said just ONCE, a night.
At the end of the 3 weeks for that phase, the player will have enough xp to fill out the branch they unlocked at the beginning of the phase.

So there you have it troll people. Your logic of "OMGzorz!!!111one!1, Jedi are being made too fast using grenades. We must cry about it" is totally flawed, since you obviously know nothing of what you're talking about when you say it's too fast.
How is it too fast, when if you put 2 new players in the village. one capping weapons xp once a night and the other capping combat xp out. Ok sure, the Combat XP user will earn more XP faster, but they still have to WAIT for the next phase.
Do you see how your arguments now fall down flat on their ugly little faces?

So here's some tips for you to take away and think about...

Before making a post about how something is too easy, too fast, impossible to do, and any of the other illogical whines you usually make. Try to actually find some information on the issue within that tiny bit of grey matter you attempt to call a brain.
There is a REALLY REALLY USEFUL thing on this forum known as SEARCH. It's located at the bottom of the page on the lower left hand side. Even if you played blind, a simple text reader such as Jaws would be able to locate it if you pressed Tab enough times to get down to the bottom of the page.
So there's no excuse there.

Secondly, If all you can do is whine about how many Jedi are on your server and how you don't like it, etc. Then take that jibber jabber elsewhere. This forum is NOT for whiny little so n so's to cry about how you hate Jedi and that there's too many, blah blah blah. (this is what i hear/read when i see those whines. blah blah blah blah blah)

And LAST but not least. We don't want you here if all you are able to do is troll about making negative comments about things we're helping others out with.

Don't go away mad, JUST GO AWAY

This was a public information message to the troll population of the FS forum.
Thank you.

  • Nope! This is WRONG! I did several buff sessions a night with Grenades and also with 2 handed xp and it is not once a night! I got is SEVERAL times every time I capped out my 900k of 2 handed and 300k of combat. If it was once a night, a lot of us would still be doing the grind and not Jedi already. Most of your post is vaild but this part is totally false!

    3 weeks = 21 days

1 day of maxing weapons xp - 900k weapons xp

Combat xp accumulated with this = 90k combat xp

    900k weapons xp = 30k fs xp

    90k combat xp = 30k fs xp

1 day of maxing weapons xp with the combat xp that goes with it = 60k fs xp

    60k fs xp x 21 days = 1,260,000 fs xp

It takes 1,225,000 fs xp to fill up one branch (excluding the novice box, which is a one-off)

    So it is perfectly possible.

And if you were maxing out your combat xp each time as well amiga2091, then you would have made much more than you needed.

He said that if all you do is cap your normal weapons xp once a day, you will fill a branch in the 3 weeks proscribed for that village phase. Not that you're somehowonly allowed to cap/convert once per night, which is the impression I think you got.

    1 branch = 1.225mil FS xp

    1.225mil FS xp/ 60K FS xp (one weapons cap) = 20.4 days = ~3 weeks

The only thing you will save bygrinding faster than this istime following your 6th quest, if you've been able to bank some or all of that last branch prior to unlocking it. You can save up to 3 weeks of total time betweenOld Man visits, no more.

The point on doing nades is, that you will finish 8times earlier, so you can focus on more usefull things. for example changing your template back from commando 4xxx and go soloing elder/krayts to get your crystals/pearls etc done before you get your weak padawan

i think what they were getting at is they only caped once a night, not you can only cap once a night. further i would beleave that the poster had caped every single night in the 3 week phase, not just cap a few times a night every few nights.

Obviously you failed to understand the post i made
I'm well aware you're able to cap and exchange xp more than once a night.
As has been explained in previous posts, you can earn enough xp in the 3 weeks if you only cap your weapons xp once a night.
In no way would I, or did I, state that you can only cap once a night and that's it.

Will i see a "sorry, you were right, i misread and misunderstood the post. My apologies."?
I hope so, but i'm not going to hold my breath.

What made Jedi start becoming a common sight now is the fact that EVERYONE knows how to do it. I haven't been playing from Launch, but when this game started a buddy of mine told me that it was a HUGE secret and that there weren't any jedi. The reason there are so many is that people started spreading the wealth and making guides to how to do it and all that. The fact that they do nade grinding has nothing to do with it. It's just a way to bank FXP faster so that you can finish the grind earlier and wait for the phases to come.

Yes doing grenades gets you the XP faster which is true.

The orginal posters point is that while the XP may come faster you don't get Jedi any faster.

If 2 People started at phase 1 and 1 did grenades while the other grinded using a single combat profession both unlocked a Branch every phase. AT the most the grenade grinder will have his 20 days before the other.

Only reason for the 20 days is because doing the 1 cap per day method extends beyond the 6th unlock. The Grenade Grinder would have all the XP banked already.

I grinded mostly as a Rifelman/swordsman I never used grenades. I could cap both in 1 buffsession so doing that once per day reduces the time to 10 days to fill a branch. I had time to do other things other then grinding like NS hunting and such which also helped my progression.

Taking the same situation I stated above with my template of Swordsman/Rifleman and I would get my Jedi at the same time as someone who did Grenade Grinding.

Grenade Grinding IMO only truly benefits those who have limited game time. Those who have the time that choose this method are really wasting credits on those grenades as while the XP comes in faster you won't be any faster in finally unlocking then someone with the time to grind out a Double Profession CAP once per day.

It is helping me get done quicker, since I have already unlocked all 6 trees and only had 2 trees done (the 2 free unlocks). Since I started using nades I have gained about 250k fs exp each buff sessionI spend grinding. I only do maybe 3 buff sessions a week. I am going to spend all weekend working on finishing out my last few boxes just to get done with this, and once I am done I will place a grenade on my wall just to honor this great method of grinding!

Not that it was much of a secret, it was just that you had to master profession after profession. Then you would use aholocron to give you a hint by telling you what profession to master next.

It may be helping you now to grind faster, but you're in the same boat i was. I never bothered to get the xp for each branch during the phas ei unlocked them. Instead i waited till after i'd unlocked all 6 branches, then decided to grind xp. Took me just about 6 weeks to grind the xp for all 6 branches.

So effectively, you could've actually made Jedi already, had you ground out the xp as you needed to.
    See what i mean?
But instead, you chose to wait and use nades. same way i did. And i agree, for those whom already have 6 unlocked branches. it's perfect.

My point to this thread though was that for starting village go-ers, it is not any quicker. The trolls of these forums seem to think it is though. So i made this post to explain to them how it's actually not any faster.

I've said this numerous times but I suppose I could mention it here. Grenade grinding helps out us people who don't have the time to grind out a weapon cap every night. With this 'nade grindin I can play 'catch up' on the xp i couldn't do every day of the week. Typically, I have time to cap weap xp (also getting 90k combat) only once or twice a week and go hard on the weekends (essentially wasting 'fun' time I could have with guild mates. Using 'nades I can make up 5 days 'worth' of grinding in one weekend and still have time to actually enjoy other aspects of the game.
