Ok I TOTALLY agree with the combat exp conversion change... but 30:1 is just ridiculous.
Lets take into account the specs of the game already. Combat exp is a TENTH of that of Weapons exp. Wouldn't it just be logical to make Combat Exp a 10:1 conversion ratio?Just a thought... and it makes sense!
And just before you stop jumping my case I am COMPLETELY done with the grind, but I still think this new conversion set up is utterly ridiculous!
er . . .they changed the conversion for combat XP? when did this happen?
i used to think this, but actually the conversion ratios for general combat and weapon specific combat make perfect sense.
here's how it is:
Say you are grinding for your novice enhanced reflexes box. You need 50,000 force sensitive XP for that skill. Now, if we're talking just about weapon specific (ws) xp, you would need 1.5 million ws XP to get 50,000 fs xp. You may not even remember about your general combat xp because it trickles in compared to the other types of xp. But if you do have 1.5 million weapon XP, you will have atleast 150,000 combat xp (the ratio of WS to combat xp is 10:1). So really, you only needed 750k WS xp and 75kxp(equals 25k fs each). I don't know if that makes any sense or not, but....
The moral: Every bol that you kill, you get the same amount of FS XP from your weapon XP as you do from your combat XP. Since the ratio of weapon xp to combat xp is 10:1, it makes sense that the FS conversion ratios of the two types of XP relate to each other 10:1 (30:1 is ten times less than 3:1)

Weapon xp is 30:1

they just took the conversion back to pre-cu. XP is easy to get now, everytime im in a gorup someone has to go train every 10 min. None of the pre-cu grinders complained about the conversion, you still got 3 weeks between each phase and that shouldnt be more then enought to grind one branch.

your grind has been taken back to the pre-cu state. No groups, buffs all the time. I managed to cap rifle xp at 900 k in about 1 hour, that also gave me 120 k combat xp in total;
conversation = 30 k + 40 k = 70 k XP.
Fordep wrote:on TC they changedInvestigation and Combat xp conversion.30:1 for combat5:1 for investigationI don't see the issue. You can pull down enough xp over 18 weeks to easily finish up FS. For the most part this mostly nerfs the naders who will be making just as much xp in converting as someone who uses a normal weapon but they'll be spending money on grenades to do it.
The real issue is that it doubles the time left for anyone who is already working on their FS XP. If you have only couple of weeks left of your grind and someone suddenly (without any notice) doubles it you have a right to be annoyed.
