Thread: Do the mos eisley quest badges really count as content badges?!?!?!?
I for one can confirm that they do. I needed one last theme park and did the Mos Eisely quest instead and made glowy right after completing it. Talk to the mayor in Mos Eisely and have him "train" you in a skill. Follow instructions and you will get the badge.

I disagree. Somewhere in this forum is post about the way SWG is advertised; showing Jedi with lightsabers and such. Also, when you begin the game new, you are given hints about being a person of interest to the Empire. When you first talk to Thela (?) in Mos Eisley, she tells you that you are important and some other things leading new players (like me) to wonder if becoming a Jedi is what everyone should attempt. I don't have any delusions that attaining Jedi is the end game because there is a lot to do in SWG. So far I have both newbie quests (Mystery of Mos Eisley and Secrets of Mos Eisley) and Nym's for content. I have all three Jedi POI's. I have both Difficult POI's and the other POI's. I've mastered Brawler and currently working on Jabba's Themepark. I am at level 4: You feel a surge of the force within you. I know that the rest is going to be difficult but I don't mind. I have played virtually every Star Wars game produced and have read a majority of the Star Wars novels. What can I say, I love anything Star Wars and nothing that gets thrown at me in this game is going to change that.

I'm not too sure what your point is here, nobody is trying to change how much you love Star Wars, and certainly not this post. ![]()
The original post is simply asking if the Mos Eisley beginner quests count as content for getting glowie, which they do. A few of the posts after that, including mine, show our disappointment at that. These quests were added to get new players on their way in the game and to give them some experience in each of the different types of professions, and are therefore easy. Therefore many of usthink that they should not count towards what should be one of the hardest parts of the game.
Yes all the advertisements tell you you can become a jedi, and thats why many players buy the game, and to be honest why shouldn't they if thats what they want, after all they pay their subscriptions. However, IMO the easier it is to become a jedi the less satisfaction you will get once you get there.
