Thread: new Arms?

its a proven fact taht you can weild the force through a cybernetic device.
i belive in a early lucs book it said you couldnt, but for that fact, vadar, and luke used there arms with the force, even as a guide?
in the coming expansion, will you be able to be a jedi and have a cybernetic arm? i would think for a jedi, it would be benefictal, more dexterous, and more strength. but maybe it would corupt your self to the dark side?
and yes i read a post where the arms, what they showed in the screen shots look VERY VERY well, bad, but hopefully they will add.
wrist/hand combo's as well as real looking arms.

I think we all know more about what happens after death, than we do about Jedi with cybernetic arms at this point.
Remember, this game doesn't really stick to the Star Wars lore to the letter, so anything is possible.

yeah like someones over the other side of the room and you launch your jet feet at them while in mid are, as you land they fly back to you and reattach themselves
Anyway the only screen shot I saw of the new arms was a very bulky beast which would only be used by some old skool guy who wants to keep things retro. It doesnt really fit in with being a jedi (well to me anyway), I hope that that was a low end model though and the better ones look more high tech.

this would prolly be a boost for droid engineers are theyre are the one who most likely can craft this cybernetics stuff anyhow... well probably...

You will be able to earn these implants by completing quests on Kashyyyk. Once you have them, you can get them installed by NPC Cybernetics doctors at the larger Medical Centers in the galaxy. The implants will have various combat-related uses: some will be better for Melee professions, others will be better for Ranged professions. Installing one will give you some statistical enhancements as well as a special combat move or two.

a trando, a being with 3 fingered claws, wearing a cyborg arm that either has no fingers or 5....that would look stupid. Once again, those that arent human or look nowhere close are being neglected...in our own expansion...

How about letting Smugglers get a wireless device that can hack into people's cybernetic limbs and cause the limbs to attack their owners forcing them to chop them off and /burst run away from the relentless pursuit of the mechanical limb. Limbs would despawn at server reset to prevent to the wilderness from being over-run with crawling disembodied arms and hopping disembodiedlegs out looking for their one time owners.
Sorry one to many B-horror flicks. Returning to my cave.

Implementation of cyber limbs really worries me.. World of terminators!
I want my flesh! Then again.. Ill probabely want those extra skillpoints, so Ill just chop of my arms and legs, like the rest of you

Didn't the guy in the interview also say that if would be a trade off for armor, ie....if you get a arm, you would not be able to use a bracer, shoulder armor, or gloves....or whatever the equivlent will be in the cu. He didn't go into to much detail.
