Ok so as the title says how many people feel that the sith shadows are too over powered?

Ok so ive been FS for just over a week now and have banked enough xp from grouping to attain my first branch, the only problem is that i havent actually done a quest yet.

I started doing the survival quest for Whip and i got to my first camp to find 3 x shadow pirates @ level 75 & 1 x shadow thug @ level 77 now the pirates appeared green so i thought id give them a kick first so down the hill i went only to get my butt kicked by just one of the pirates!!! yes just one managed to incap me!!!

Whats that about im a Master swordsman, Master doc at level 80 and i still got incapped by a level 75 sith shadow pirate??

I think they need sorting out mate they are way too over powered!!

are you kidding?

im shocked you had trouble with a single one on one fight..and actualy got incapped

with master doc , im sure you were buffed, would hope you were wearing armor . and you can heal ,also unless im mistaken..master swords is no slouch for damage, so i dont understand how you got beat one on one. even 2 on 1

I soloed through 4 rescues worth of these tonightand never lost more then 1/4 of my health , using my droid to single pull them.. buta couple timeshad two on me at once.. only had stims for heals and dont recall using one at all

i had no docbuffs.

usedteltier noodles and neutron pixies

had good armor on but it was assault, no fancy energy protection from their blasters

my template is master bounty hunter/master smuggler , pistoleer 0004 not exactly a damage or defense king

i dont think i even used duelist stance tbh =(

I've never had a template anythinglike yours though so I'llgive you the benefit of the doubt ..maybe one elite combat profession + master doc isunderpowered for this, but im stillsurprised

maybe take a buddy along for backupnext time guy

best of luck

Turning Star Wars Galaxies into a first person shooter is as bad an idea as turning it into a real time strategy game.. thanks for the toilet in the middle of the living room !

Huh????

If you cannot handle THOSE with YOUR template... I think "move on... this game is not for you..."

As MRanger/MCH I was able to do them ALONE... And I didn't have buffs... only a simple rifle and a droid and 2 pets...

As TKM/MSuggler I did them single handedly too...

So I think you really need to PLAY the game instead of having grind your way thru things to get a real understanding HOW combat is working.

im gunna have to agree, the sith shadow are working as they were originally intended too work...a difficult test that actually makes the phase quests a challenge, when i did that quest as a TKM master swordsman i used to make it a game and just use regular attacks so that i could take them down with my scythe and my fists...just to see which one was fastest.

Now they take a little strategy and this is welcome, the only time id ever died against them was the phase 3 50k ham ones at the main bases...i ran in expecting the same old fight and got owned...oh well, just keep trying and you should be able to beat them.

If you got owned at PvE that easily I would reconsider Jedi seeing as you will be facing even harder PvP.

Get a pet or droid and pull them one at a time. Tell the pet to attack then immediately tell it to follow you. You might have to repeat the follow command a few times because the pet will want to run out to meet the mob and...

With all that said, the CU is alot to do with adapting to the new system. Things have changed. New tactics need to be used. We are no longer supposed to be able to tank and kill 3+ mobs solo. The sith need to stay the way they are. You are level 80, you just need to change your tactics. You can do it.

edit: I would like to add that pre CU, the Sith were WAY harder.

I will guess you may have respec'ed to this template and my be use to fighting diffently. I would practice with this template first. Maybe bols first. They will not db you nor will they pack argo you. A little practice with the new CU , and you should be ok. Do not let all 3 attack you at once.

I love how powerful they are, it makes combat interesting and exhilerating rather than simply "Oh...more n00bs to sl4ughter". You know? The only part I feel might be a little overpowered are the sith that visit you to steal the crystal, but that just because I've seen fellow guildies die unexpectedly and have to wait all over again.

I have to admit, having a mere CL of 54 does make the Sith Shadow quests a bit frustrating. No, I'm not some ammo strapping terminator with a CL of 80--I enjoy the crafting aspects of the game as well. But taking on the Sith Shadows isn't like pulling missions from the terms. At least I can find kill that suits my CL. With the Sith Shadows, I feel as though I'm at a much more disadvantage than your average commando.

I hope you're kidding, or at least over-reacting. With my template (as shown below), I pwn the hell out of Sith Shadows. I can take four at a time while using a lower-end E11 Mark II, while wearing my Composite Armor (which has EXTREMELY weak energy protection.) I never get anywhere near incap. If I put on my Padded Armor and used my Elite or Proton Carb, I could take them out even quicker and never go below half-health.You should have no trouble with it.

Ok so i might've been over reacting about just one guy as i had my back to the others and so intervention on their part could of been possible without me noticeing.

Anyway someone above said i needed practice with my template the only thing on my template that i used respec for was to get doc and i had to grind the rest of it to complete the prof. Ive been a brawler and swordsman since i started this game and so should be used to using the abilities of the prof although the one attack i do miss is spin attack but hey.

Anyway cheers for your comments.
