Thread: Preparing for Phase 4 Melee Defense!

I finished Phase 3 Ranged Defense last weekend, which was a very close shave to say the least! Having 2 "red dot" and4 "yellow dot" siths beating the living daylights out of me I managed to get in the ole Brandy, Steak and Canape in at the right time to save me. At this point I praised the Force for TKM meditating as I was getting 300+ action poison every few seconds so managed to meditate it off before I dropped dead!

So, if that was rather difficult does anyone know/experienced Phase 4 Melee Defense? I didnt do the Melee Accuracy which sounds like a total nightmare, so will this one be just as bad or worse?

I will be going out for it regardless as I really want the Melee Defense skill, so if anyone can adviseif I shouldget a few friends together to help me or should I be able to do it on my own?

I am a TKM and Master Pistols, I have my "uber" (lol) comp armor which is 80% all stats (except LS of course!) and equipped with a 220 +23 VK, a 390 DE-10 and a collection of nice Brandy, Steak, Canape and the "mini buff" food which enhances HAM by 1100 - forgotthe name of it.

Many thanks for your advise and advance apologies if this has already been covered but I missed it.

You shouldn't have much problem! Worst part(for me at least, because i am running dial-up) was the lag. I did it last time as TKM/Doc and had no problem. Just, whenever you have a chance to kill a pirate...take it! They are the most rare of what you have to kill! Have fun!

My advice to you is this,

There is a hill just outside the bigger gate, that alot of things spawn on, get in a group with a ranged weapon and sit on that hill one shoting everything that spawns, and then assist group in killing the MOB. you will get credit for everything you kill, plus all that you hit once. you can finish the requirment in one to two spawns

If you just kill the pirates, you'll have a lot of people annoyed at you. Hit them and move on, give others a chance, they won't last long anyway. Lunge is your friend ... 20m range.

i actually liked phase 4 the most, lots of people together and it wasnt solo, it is actually fairly easy my tip would be to go on the hill S of the village i think...and just wait there for a wave of sith, hit every sith once until the spawn is over then go in the village and kill those that you need to finsih the quest off. this was how i completed mine

Haha, yeah - I think that's what they meant.

When there's a LOT of people in there, just tap a pirate or outlaw and MOVE ON...

If you complete your quest, consider helping others by healing them with stims when they need it, or tank a Thug off ofsomeone if they're in a bind - if you're a tank, that is. Then run away with the Thug following you. I had a group of about 8 Thugs on my tail the last time this came around, got a little /taunt happy - but saved a couple people's lives I do believe. Then I hopped on my Swoop and got the heck outta Dodge.

If you see a Medic that is very actively healing, they're probably doing the healing quest - so get Thugs off of them if they need help. Keeping all the Medics alive keeps everyone alive.

Most importantly - have fun!!!!

phase 4 is pretty easy i solo'd it last time round for the pirates now i got it easy and just gotta kill 50 outlaws i believe this time around.

only thing to watch out for is getting gang raped by thugs they spawn at front and back of the village and eventually all gather at the main gates so just be a little careful when heading there

The key to phase 4 is to go at the begining of the phase, if you wait till later you find there are not as many people around to help, you'll get flooded with sith so you won't be able to solo them all and they do come in to the village and don't expect help from the villager npcs

wish you were on radiant bud I went to the village during phase 4 (total mistake) with my WS on starsider and those guys were a nightmare. My rifleman is on radiant hopefully i'll fair better with him. phase 3 melee accuracy I did with a group and we messed up the first time but went back had a plan and totally killed used the same plan for the next bunch and it worked. Now for Phase 4 you best be prepared for heavy guys. There are droves of them all red colored with near 100k HAMs. The sith thugs and up, from what you say you would want to draw them in close as possible cause they kill at ranged combat luckly I can solo 4 to 5 outlaws/pirates and should be able to take on 2 thugs at ranged combat. Main problem is their resistances they have about 70 to 80% resistances to all and medium armor just like the force sensitive guys on dantooine but don't pack too much the same punch if your built the right way.

Phase 4 combat Quest is don in and just outside of the Village. Just make sure you attack the sith as they appear. Don't wory you won't be doing it solo as for everyone and their mom will be there doing it. Just as long as yu get some good hits in you geta count for it. Every now and then check your quest journal to keep track of what you have killed. If i remeber right Sith pirates spawn inside the Village and Sith Thugs spawn outside the village. Thugs are indead the hardest ones as it takes 3 to 5 TKMs to take one down.

So many stupid people are still alive because it is illegal to kill them.
Anyone who says, "Trust Me" can not be trusted.
It is not what you are killing but what you are allowing to live.

So the Phase 4 is the one where have to kill so many pirates, and so many thugs? Grr, I already unlocked this one.. lol, guess I should have started the jedi grind sooner..
