Jedi are THE paramount martial artists in the universe, not only do they try to perfect their fighting skills, but they strive to enlighten themselves by academic learning. Even to the the point of manipulating the world around them through the "Force". They understand, at a molecular level, how things work, thus they are able to use the "Force" to levitate, dominate, calm, destroy, and pwn, etc, etc...
I have no problem with the time it takes, anything worth getting shoudln't be easy. It'strue with all Martial arts.
I've readof a Sensei in old China who would greet a new group of would-be Kung-Fu artists by pouringexactly 10,000 pieces ofrice into a pond and telling them to retrieve every piece.
It was an impossible task, and those who couldn't cut it walked away. Those who stayed were welcomed into the Dojo.
Which one are you?
A great analogy now just imagine . . . you're in the pond with about 100 other people and you found 9,000 peices of rice . . . but there are still too many students the sensei thinks . . . so he pours an additional 10,000 grains in.
Thats basically the biggest problem most had with Pub 21. People will do the work . . . they are just upset that goal which they were about to get got moved farther away.

More like someone figured out how to amass 100 grains of rice at a time then when everyone in the province was accepted into the dojo they found the sensei's training wasn't sufficient for them to defend themselves against an arthritic peasant with a crooked stick.
now THATS what I'm talkin about. Nerf peasents and their infernal crooked sticks!

I see you point. But for me, since I know nothing else, Idon't havethe feeling of anything being screwed up since the 30:1 ratio is all I've known.
And that was the whole point. If you were working under the old system and had 30 days left suddenly you had 60 days left. You could shorten that by changing your whole plan, getting new skills, altering your patterns but the point was you were in the middle of the path and someone moved the end of the path on you. Its frustrating and annoying that was why people got upset about it.

It is so much easier now to be jedi.
So the rules change a few times. It is still easier. The path is told to you ,andhow to do it.
Some guy came up with how it was less xp required when people holo grinded but that was before CU and its Group XP and when you could attack everything at LVL80. This is WAY EASIER to be jedi now. So some times they adjust the path and it is harder. Sometimes they make the path easier also. If you want the orignal holo grind back....You can start a BRING THE HOLO GRIND BACK thread. You can always see how others feel and maybe you are correct or just maybe you like may around you TALK BEFORE THINKING!
just my humble option.
By the way , this is my second account . my first account is guyvii and I started a month after the game started. So I have seen most of the changes by SOE.

When the original poster has been playing for more than six months and has put in the one to two years that many have, he'll come to better understand the outrage at of having long-term benchmarks moved out as one approaches the previous goal.
At least he's taken some time and hopefully played some of the game before coming to the village, unlike some who have gotten glowy recently within days of starting the game.
It's semi-ironic that they've made fs grinding tougher while at the same time making access to the village significantly easier than it's ever been.
I am in agreement with the original poster. I, too, am force sensitive. I've been in game for less than two months. I've had my old man visit and gotten my force crystal. I am a CL62 TKM, MBrawler, Swordsman 2-2-1-2 (Working my way to Master Swordsman), Medic 4-2-4-0 (Working towards Doctor 4-0-0-0. So far I've been staying on Dant. at the Mining Outpost for group hunting until I get to CL75, at the least. That way I should be able to solo the sith shadows and go to the village without any help. I do want to group while at the village because I think it will be a more enriching experience. I just want to be able to get there myself without help from anyone else. I soloed Jabba's, Nym's and the Imperial Themeparks. I did havea little help for the Mos Eisley newbie quests thanks to the NPC newbie trainer (Jedi) Theala (sp. ?). She looks like a Jedi, acts like a Jedi, speaks like a Jedi and unfortunately she reminds me of Krei from KotOR 2. I apologize for the digress.

ya, I am calling it balance. I am guessing the devs are to. easy to start but hard to end. But is does let the people who bought the game to be jedi, start working on it sooner. Many where upset that it was so hard to be FS. Now it is easy. The path to Jedi is also marked out , it will just take a while but, you are on your way to being Jedi. LOL
