Thread: jedi initiates and bounty hunter visibility

for those of you that think it is ok to gain your first 20K at initiate and not worry about visibility think again, you can still get on the terminals.
you will lose 4500xp if ou clone regardless of how you die and 50000xp on deathblow if you are killed by a BH.
there was a rumour that initiates dont get visibility basically this is BS.

i might have equiped a LS but you dont use force when you are initiate so many people are confused about visibility issues (even in the guides) so i am basically clarifying this.

Are you sure? I could of sworn I read a dev post saying that you only gain vis at padawan.....Did you get hunted or something?

and your not a padawan yet? i've never heard of a jedi initiate being hunted before.... I've seen tons of initiate being hunted before and i've seen a bunch of them using their training saber in the middle of the MO.

I'd really like to know the definite answer to this.
I was looking forward to showing off my sabre for a little while before plunging into the padawan life.

why would a bh hunt you anyway? it would be the tiniest reward ever...

Because infantile schoolyard bullies love nothing more than forced PvP on an unsuspecting and helpless foe. No profession fosters infantile schoolyard bullies moreso than Bounty Hunter, except possibly Rifleman or TKA.

You still gain visibility as an intiate, you just don't go on the boards. If your vis is high enough you will go on the boards as soon as you become padawan.
New jedi need toform good habits from the start. No showing off your light stick.Grinding xp solo. Ceating macros to unequip and disrobe when anyone approaches. Etc. Keeping off the terms is all about playing smart. It's all about NaturalSelection. Good players will advance, the less discrete ones will end up with minus 10 million xp.One reason the system is the way it is, is to discourage players acting like 12 year olds, waving there sabers around cnet, silently shouting "Notice me!"

WELL PUT! Yes, sadly it's an "us and them" situation, but it's true, too many players liek to crow about how they're 1337, but have no respect for the genre.
