Thread: Best post-CU template for grinding FS XP?

Before I left the game and before the CU, I was going TKM with 4/0/0/0 Commando and using grenades
on lairs to max Combat XP pretty quick.

Is this still effective, or is there a better template/method now?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Currently it's BH/Master Ranged (Pistol, Rifle, Carbine)

Someone did up the numbers, but basicly, you can farm Pistol, Rifle, Carbine and Combat XP, throw on an Insperation Buff, group hunt and you'll be pulling in piles of XP (particuarly with the Double XP currently)

That's funny, I was MBH/MCarbs before the CU.

I guess since I already have good Carbines I'll just use my old template then.

Thanks for the info.

It takes a while to learn how to but, you will get even faster xp if you use post-CU crafted nades (assuming your friendly neighboorhood WS will make them for ya).

The thing is to manage not to aggro too many mobs at a time so A) you don't die instantly and B) your group doesn't die as a consequence of your actions...

Pulling up to groups of 4 mobs can be fine i think, if your group is prepared to take them on and get them off you quick while you recharge your timers (post CU crafted nades aren't that bad on timer, converted ones are HORRIBLE).

In 3 days i've gotten over 2.1M FS xp without particularly grinding hard, i've enjoyed rotw and the cu overall, just by grouping for a few hours a day you can rack in VERY decent amounts of FS xp (with double xp week). I think once double is off, we will be pulling in xp at the same rates as before... This week was a nice nump up for me, i did about half of my total XP in 3 days

Why MBH/M Ranged? I've been reading that TKM/Doc + some swords is great template. I've never had a BH character are they truly that phenomenal in terms of damage or defense? Or do they just get awesome xp for bounties? Anyone who can help on this I would really appreciate it.

MBH/Master Commando.

Been using that during Bloodfin's 4x week, and I can cap out heavy weaps, rifle, carbine, and pistol, plus lots of combat.

Master Bounty Hunter/Creature Handler for the win!

I'm currently a MBH/CH 4-3-0-4, and I am absolutely rocketing up the Heightened Senses tree all of a sudden. They upped by tenfold the Scout XP cap, and presumably the CH cap as well. But here's what I'm getting playing solo against CL-69 lairs like fambaas or bolle bols on Naboo....

  • 3500 to 4500 Weapons XP per kill (typically 3 x 3 spawns, for a total of 31,500 to 40,500 per lair)

  • 350 to 450 Combat XP per kill

  • Roughly 4500 Creature Handler XP per kill, using a midlevel pet (roughly CL-32 or thereabouts, depending on my mood)

  • Up to7,500 Scout XP per corpse harvested (fambaas or bolle bols)

Creature Handler XP converts to Senses XP at a 9:1 ratio, and Scout XP converts at an 8:1 ratio.

If you get an all-ranged temp, this is what you can do with a good group in 2 hours hunting:

1.2 mil Carbines XP

1.2 mil Pistols XP

1.2 mil Rifles XP

360k Combat XP

That converts for a Total of 480k FS XP. For just 2 hours work. One full tree is 1,225,000 FS XP. That means if you do just 5 trips to the Village, that's 2 whole trees done!

Thats good advice. I have like 1.6 mil left to grind and was wondering how I would get it done. My toon is a MBH/rifles 4234. So that should help. Just didn't know a MBH could bank that much xp on carbs/pistolas/rifles. Wicked sweet .

I really hope this is right...but how is this possible, even assuming 5,000 experience per creature that is over 240 creatures per cap. Are my numbers wrong?

Im using TKM / Swordsman / Doc 4000

Joining a group at Dant MO hunting Bol's is great, pickets are fun too but can get a bit much for a small group.

With this temp your pretty much god like, Power boost, mini buff and food / drinks / spices takes your health 5000+

Using COB 24/7 reduce's damage from 160 to 60 from CL 82 critters, just keep the bacta infution running and you can pretty much handle 5 CL 80ish crits no problem.

As long as you group has the fire power to bring them down before you run out of mind your sorted

Doing this I cap Unarmed and 2-Handed XP in about 10-15 missions?

Thats 1.2 mil xp each, adding the combat XP to it will bring in 160k FS XP when you pop to the village.

Using Doc is great for me as I am getting the healing line in FS so when Im tanking all them Bol's it spits out some real nice medical XP.

Just hope Im not coming up short on the Med XP when I finish my combat lines.

Possible if you are grouped, and the group doesn't dawdle and they just go from mission to mission.
