Thread: Possible exit quest issue? Waiting for old man but still have a quest...

Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone has had any problems with getting the old man to make his second visit while still having an oustanding Village quest in their journal. After I trained my last box last night, I was invited to join the group waiting on the sith to invade, so i took the quest. I've been waiting a while, and I know it can take up to 24 hours, and i know impatience is unbecoming of a jedi, but... I'm getting nervous! 
Has this been a problem for anyone?

I've seen it can take up to 3 days. I have not read anything about an outstanding quest causing problems or not.

Well, wait around a "safer" planet, so when you take the exit quest from the old man, you'll be safer from some tougfher creatures...and yeah, it's the same process like in the beginning. takes 1-3 days. If you need help, I don't mind, ..and no I'm no bh.

oh...didn't answer your question, heh... If you havent finished your Phase 4 quest, then the old man might not visit you..just a guess
Try finishing the quest, ...or you could try waiting for 1-3 days, and see if the old man has arrived yet, ..if he doesn't just finish that quest.

hmm i'll probably come back on this evening and give him another hour or so, then if he doesnt show i'll go try and finish that quest for the heck of it...

whatever you do, try to get him to come to you on Yavin, i really doubt having an outstanding quest matters, its the 24 boxes completed that triggers him. Good luck !
why Yavin?

Please let us know if he does arrive. For some reason, even though I did complete Phase 3 combat, I have the mission still incomplete in my journal. I don't want any trouble now...

why Yavin?
statistically, Yavin has the least bugged Mel missions. Planets that have player houses can and sometimes will give problems. It's only my advice for yavin, some say endor is good too, in my case Mel spawned only 1900m from the starport/clone center so it was really pretty nice. A week prior to my mel quest i was with a group that was sitting around for a CSR to help out because it spawned virtually on top of a city hall and private guild hall on corellia.

I finished the last quest and trained my 24th box on saturday. Went to our player city and just sat outside of town. He came about 28 hours after i trained the last box.

cool cool... yavin eh? anything but endor (where i spent all my time grinding)...
28 hours? that's not too horrible... i hope i get it a bit sooner... was that 28 game hours or 28 real-time hours (or both? )
)will let y'all know... i may go do the phase 4 quest tonight just in case it is a problem, tho then we'll never know if thats bad... do i want to be the guinea pig?

one thing i just noticed i'd like someone to check out...
In my quest journal in completed quests, after the "Go to the Village" one, there is a "Talk to the old man again" listing.... "see if he has anythingnew for you to do".... this is a completed quest... so... doh? hope someone else who hasn't trained 24 has this too...

just visited me, so, can rule out that being an issue
hoping to head off to kill him in about an hour and a half... a man's gotta eat!
