Yes, it is soloable, since you don't actually even have to fight. Just drive your speeder over the ship.
As for your other question, it takes a loooooooooong time to travel from the village to Endor and back 6 times.

didn't do it post CU, but i suppose so....., if u take ur time and play smart. That and stay in drugs, don't do school........

When I did it, took me a couple days, but I didn't try to do all six at once. You have to get the waypoint from Whip, ride back to the science outpost from the village, fly to endor, get to the waypoint (usually about 2-3km away from the closest starport), look for the ship near the waypoint (within 500m), drive by to get the supplies (you don't have to kill the Sith but you can if you want), and then get back to the village, all without dying. Figure about an hour round trip, so about six hours, give or take, to do the whole quest.

can you die in PvP? ie duel someone and have them send you back to the Sci Outpost the fast way? 
and really, its not that bad, considering since grey cons dont aggro anymore you can pretty much cruise unmolested to and from the village and your WPs while you're alt-tabbed in another window or something Just keep your music on so you can hear if you get into combat and check back every few mins to make sure you dont get stuck on a rock lol

This quest is a cake walk. The longest part is the back and forth from the village (12 trips total). You don't even have to fight, and I didnt aggro a single critter on mine.

Just make sure that each time you receive a new waypoint from whip you go straight to Endor and get the supplies because if you don't the ship despawns after a certain length of time. If this happens you can still get the supplies but you can't see them so you have to ride around the waypoint's surrounding area and hope you hit lucky. Once you have the supplies you can take as much time as you like before you go back to whip, as long as the phase doesn't change obviously.

agreed.... dont waste time. do the missions back to back. you will have nooooo problems whatsoever.

Yeah, you can. Put stuff in a droid if you don't want condition loss, and clone first to prevent wounds.
