I thought some people might need this again.

First of all, lets get rid of a few myths here. Just because I am told the mission is a failure does not mean it is so. The devs have lied before and trust me they have lied again. Dont understand, READ ON!!

1. Get a group of about 4 people together. Doesn't really matter what profession you are, just make sure you are buffed and have at least one ranged person.

2. For the sake of confusion I will name the two players completing the quest Han and Luke. Han and Luke must be grouped, the other two just hang around for the ride.

3. Get the disk find the base blah, blah, blah. IF you need help with this find another post.

4. Go to the base DO NOT DROP THE SHIELDS

5. Take out the Turrets

6. Regroup at the front of the base and decide who will bring down the sheilds and who will capture(decide between Han and Luke).

7. Now, this part may get confusing but try to follow. If you are looking at the front gate of the base, the sith should come from your left hand side. They dont appear at the gate they run up from the left. In this situation Han will bring down the shields and Luke will capture. Have Luke and the other two players wait on the right side of the base towards the back. Once everyone is in position, DROP THE SHIELDS.

8. Here is where Han gets to play Hero. The sith will come running up from the left. Han runs right into them aggros as many as possible, runs straight through the group of sith and out the other end. THEN HAN DIES. HAN MUST DIE. Dont ask questions now just keep reading. The capture group all moves into the base and waits where the comander will spawn. Once Han Has died the comander will show up.

9. Everyone stay put. Wait a few minutes and watch the sith. They will begin to despawn because Han is dead and they dont know you are there. Send one of the non-grouped members out to see if the coast is clear. If it is not wait a while longer. IF they are not despawning send player 1 and 2 out to move them. Luke can then run out in the other direction.

10. Have Han meet you for the long walk back to the village and look out for random spawning sith Pirates.

Now, everyone stated that if you take down the sheilds and die, you failed. I thought this to but it IS NOT TRUE. The message may come up, but both player will get credit for the mission. I have attempted to do this 4 times and failed. THIS WAY WORKED. I now have my wonderful mind buff crystal and a few great players to thank for it. Again, if the Dev's wont make a system that works then work around the system.

To recap, you dont have to kill any sith, you dont have to fight at all, and you can die and still claim both rewards.

Any questions?

Someone else PLEASE try this tonight and back me up if im correct.

If that is true thank you for letting me know. The four times i went they have come from the left. Either way, make sure the group with the capturer hides near the back until the shield person pulls the sith away.

Any other questions?

Yes, they came from the right. I actually did it the first time with one other person. We popped the turrets, dropped the shields, then pulled back from the front gate. The sith spawned, and moved into a little group at the front. We pulled and killed one at a time (except for one botched pull that brought about 6 and sent us scurrying around like cockroaches). We also popped the first gate here. After the 5 were killed, the shield dropper synthed up and drove through the sith with me following 20m behind. I ducked in the gate while they were distracted, drove around to the second gate, dismounted, borke it and captured the guy. Then my partner drove through again to draw their attention and I rode out and turned the opposite direction. got out clean, waited about 70m out for the commander to catch up, and off we went. Helped a couple friends get it the next day the same way.

You're idea of letting Han die is interesting, sounds as if the despawn when they can't see you counts as deaths. I said you lied to point out that mistakes get made, and just because something isn't quite right or isn't the way you think it should be based on what you read doesn't mean you have to run around calling people liars. In any case, I appologise for calling you a liar, and cogratulate you on an interesting solution to the mission.

i've done the mission with 3 accounts already. you can either kill 5 thugs OR let the shield dropper die (definately the easiest method)

for me the sith came from the front back and I think some came from the right. we went to the trouble of killing 5 sith though but we pulld about 60m to the left of the base and no sith spawnd near us.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Interesting idea... I was trying to help a couple friends with this quest the other night, and we were having a pretty tough time. The "Han dying" idea was something we hadn't thought of. Maybe if they still need help with it, we'll give it a try.

Thanks,

Easiest way by far is this.....

2 people, one must have mask scent of any degree. The one with mask scent cannot be the shield dropper.

1. Take out turrets before dropping shield.

2. Drop shield. Character with mask scent wait at the back of the base, directly oposite of gate. Shield dropper drives back and forth numerous times getting the sith spread out and chasing a little.

3. Mask scent. Character that has mask scent do so now and wait for the sith to "disappear" from radar. They do this for about 30 seconds before they are seen coming back to the front of the gate. Once the gate is clear run inside and proceed to take out inner gate. With mask scent this is easy. For some odd reason the sith do not detect you if your scent is masked. Upon blowing up the gate run inside where commander spawns and wait.

4. Shield dropper pull as many sith away from gate as possible then voluntarily die. This will cause the commander to spawn. Mask scent character captures commander and waits. You can recast your mask scent or you can wait for the sith to "disappear" from the front of the gate again before moving out. Once your inside your safe from them for whatever reason. After the gate is clear run out away from the last visual of the sith. Be sure to keep the commander within 40m of you or he commits suicide.

The rest of the mission is easy. Keep mask scent up and have the shield dropper close by as guard because sith pirates will randomly spawn and chase you as your making your way back to the village.

This method has proven to be the most effective. I know of 3 groups that completed their quest in this manner.

Oz you are right once the shield person dies the commander spawns way easier then taking the time to kill 5 sith. Done it four times now, 3 times we completed it. Definetly a fun mission, only thing I would add is try to not do the base 9k away...with no terrain negotation the walk sucks, hehe.

well, i figured that out on my own...i was wondering if anyone who did this did not have their crystal hournal updated also...i got the crystals and i have trained up to acc3, but i was wondering if i did the mission over again for the journal if it would give me more crystals or erase the ones i have already(and all my work in the acc branch)...i would love to hear if anyone has done this twice that was the shield dropper/deadman
