Thread: How I beat Mellechaie

Ok, this is how its done.



1. you need to be ranged. If you are melee, I have no idea how you would do the following. Respec for the unlock my friends


2. by yourself, ungrouped(not sure if this is a neccecity), destroy the two green crystals first, one at a time, and make sure YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE TO EVEN BREATH ON THEM. Have a few M8s around to heal you and dispatch any sith thugs that might appear. As ranged, this is not hard to do at all. Just keep on one crystal at a time, first the greens, then the reds. Big freaking emphasis on no one else attacking the crystals



If you is teh melee, you might try having some rifleman M8s assasinating the sith NPCs to help lose agro on teh crystals.


When you drop the last crystal, Mallechaie will be agroed with alot of other crap. run away, drop agro, and come back to regroup. agro Mell without his body guard, and you are straight

You are the man! You saved my life. Without your tip I would have killed myself beating my head against the wall.


I tried doing this quest with a group and the crystals kept getting bugged every time. Eventually they gave up and I opened a ticket. I decided to check the forums and saw your post. I tried it out and was able to finish the Mel quest solo!!!

yeah this quest is all about rifleman right now. I did it with 3 other people and very easily I might add. The key was just to not let anyone else hit the crystals. daktar never even aggroed us, and 2 of the people were master smugglers so we just rooted Mel and blasted the crap out of him. Very quick and easy.

Does cover work for destroying the Crystals?do you get aggro when you destroy the last one and are still at cover?

Don't need to be rifleman, you can equip a rifles only by your combat level. Ok no skills but enough to take out the crystals at range.

You odnt have to be rifleman, that is correct I was Master carbs and did this quest exactly as posted.

best way i heard was a guild m8 who did it solo. He dropped a huge imp base on top of mell and the imp npc's wiped em all out in secs. There were like 100 imp npc's there so if ppl have a base,drop it.

It's rather easy actually.


As TKM/Smuggler I helped a few out.


The main issue is not to use melee on the crystals but any ranged weapon.


First the greens, then the reds.


Kill the sith when they come for you.


When melli comes, either run out have him following and get him snared/rooted and have the one needing to do the unlock 1 hit and move out of range. Finish melli of with the group.


Quest solved.

Me and a friend of my are almost to the point where we are going to be doing the exit quest, now i heard somewere that mell is level 121 is this true?

No!


His fellow guardian Dark<something> is level 100...


Melli is 84-87 or something.

That's pretty much what I did. I respeced to Master Rifleman/Pistolteer and a Carbineer Line. After I killed the crystals I just used Root and snare on Mel after I lured him away from his buds. Took me forever, but I killed him without taking a single hit.

Mell is level 85, and was rocking mando armor and a cybernetic arm when we owned him. Having a master healer there can make t hings sooo soooo very much easier.
