Thread: My FS Idea

My potential theory for opening the FS slot. To sum up what the devs said about opening the slot, it will be be rare and take a long time to attain. I believe Ralph said it would take a powergamer 6 months to do it. What if you had to master EVERY proffesion to become a Jedi? Obviously u can't do it all at once, but u can master something and then let it go. PErhaps you ahve to max out the XP on everything possible.

That would take even the most hard core power gamer a LONG LONG time not to mention most people won't wnat to gvie up skills in stuff they are masters in so it will be extrememely rare. IT would probably take a casual gamer a year or so to do this. IT kind of makes sense. I dont' know whther u might have to just master the proffessions or max out there xp. Who knows.

Seems very far-fetched, especially because they claim the path is different for every character. Also, this doesn't seem to have anything to do with becoming Force Sensative. Sure this would take a long time, but I don't think the devs would make it so all you had to do was power up every profession. The devs really seem like they want people to use logic in their path to becoming FS, not just pump 6 months into their gaming experience.

Did the devs ever actualy say that what you do to unlock the FS slot will be jedi related? Usually one reason why some might suspect others for being jedi is that they are really good at something. Who knows.

Funny thing with FS theories is that they will inevitably prove to be more inventive than the muppets at SOE are capable of creating.

This is why the most logical theory is the hidden XP bar, coz it is easy to make and takes the devs very little effort to maintain.

I would honestly think that once you accumulate a certain amount of XP in total you unlock the slot, simple as that.

well not every person is gonna master the professions in the same order

i do agree, this idea came to mind but it doesnt make sence, they devs said to look at luke skywalkers path to becomming a jedi, i thought.

I need a dad, who is a jedi and now a sith lord , he needs to be on the dark side and started off in tattoine as a slave! my mother needs to be a old queen of naboo then a senator , i need a twin sister as a princess, i i have to join the rebels. hmm what else? lol

i cant wait until i can become a jedi ( if it ever does) plz god let me be one!

Urge to troll rising...

Sorry man, but this just doesn't seem right. They said it is available to every profession, combat and non-combat alike. Therefore you wouldn't have to take every class to get it, as you wouldn't need combat classes.

If you're asking if that will get you to the exit quest, then yes. If you're asking if it's the best template, probably not, but in the end it won't make a great deal of difference. One thing I will say, however, is that choosing branches from all four trees means you have to get novice in all 4 of them....at 50K a pop, that's at least 100K more than you absolutely have to do if you chose branches from only 2 trees.

Not everyone is looking for the quickest route to obtain a Jedi by unlocking and grinding out the first 6 trees they are able to.

I never implied he was looking for the fastest way. I was merely stating that he would need 100K extra FS xp. Many people new to the grind aren't even aware they need FS xp to train the Novice boxes. For the majority of people another 100K xp seems to be significant. Don't make assumptions when they aren't warranted...and in this case it wasn't. I was simply stating a fact in case he/she didn't know.

The healing branch from Heightened Senses is absolutely useless for a doc cause you are already capped at healing speed and healing itself.

I mean you can already heal for 3k or something every second.

And then for the crafting bit, Force experimentation doesn't give anyone extra experimentation points, this branch only gives you a better chance on an amazing success, which you'll also get when you're crafting a research center city. Maybe even in the middle of nowhere.

If you want to make a good jedi you won't need any of the crafting or heightened senses stuff.

The only "good" things are the melee speed and accuracy branches, (speaks for itself) and melee defense and ranged defense, (speaks for itself aswell).

And I chose the vehicular control to accelerate and turn faster and have a higher speed and the survival tree for a little bit terrain negotation.
