i was begginning to get the first POIs to start getting glowie i checked bumbers to grind all 4 trees in FS Crafting. you need about 5million FSxp or in otherwords 39million artisan xp at 8:1. that works out to be 22000 landspeeder x34s. OMG. or in otherwords 68million ferrous metal and 24million non-ferrous. ok almost doable, to craft M Armorsmith you do nearly 2000 crafts. over time it can be done, but 93million resourses? 10 mines at BER13 on avarage 80% resourses would take 20 months - ie December 2006. there are so many expletives i feel like using here that would gt me banned. hopeless, absolutely hopeless.

Has anyone been able to figure out what item crafted in practice mode would be the best XP per resourse if one was to actually try this grind as economically as possible? What about not in pratice mode if its an item thats actually sellable, perhaps a swoop or consumeable?

What is its XP per resourse? Is it practical to not practice on the item in that it that it needs BE goods, or is it effective enough to sell without?

With all those trips to the village you might want to make swoops..or NS repellant. ;-)

The resouces and the cost of the resources, for me, are not the issue. It's the time. I would be curious to see a time/resource analysis. Maybe grinding Ubese shirts as an AS is less cost per force xp, but 10 times more time consuming than doing Gungan heads as an Archie.

Architects and shipwrights can grind XP pretty damn fast. Every grind any gungan statues or starships frames? Yes, it takes resources, but it will give monster XP at least.

Well, for starters, I doubt you need all 4. With critical failures gone, Technique has become all but useless, and I'm not sure if Repair ever worked. So even just doing 2 trees is a good start. Myself, I actually did 3 trees, just waiting for phase 4 to unlock Repair, because with my grind it was actually quicker than using C12's on another combat tree.
And what did I grind? Got DE 0004 and made about 3800 Adv. Binary Load Lifter chassis'. Also got a programmable trackball and programmed one button to dbl-click (couldn't program that in Win98 - one reason to get WinXP), so that cut that clicking in half. Hired a DE to make component kits (which you can do yourself if you have the resources and factories available) consisting of a backpack full of:
5 crates droid brains (more braaaaiiinnnnsss!!!!)
5 crates sensor suites
10 crates manipulator arms
30 crates Adv Motive Systems
to grind out each kit, you also need:
31250 Steel
31250 Duranium Steel
62500 Fiberplast
93750 Metal
93750 Duralloy Steel
I was able to easily grind out 1 kit in under an hour (30min if I really pushed it), and each kit gives 105k FSXP in practice mode. Complicated enough to not be too boring. And I never used a macro (F1-5, enter, click X 9, enter X 4, pause, enter X 2, repeat). Oh, and I also programmed a trackball button for 'enter,' which helps in many ways.... like confirmation dialogues. I could have used 6 tools, but I wouldn't always have needed the sixth, 5 tools was sort of a natural speed limit to keep my wristfrom burning out if I went too fast.
Tempest grinders: my component supplier, Crys, is willing to supply another craft grinder.
The most efficient grind I've heard of,at least resource-wise, was some spice (shadowpaw?) in the novice smuggler box... but you need to make a zillion... But ABLL's is definitely the fastest, 4200 DEXP per combine, but I could only haul enough supplies to the village for abut 250k FSXP per trip.
