that.....

they do not take into account the number of defenders in the village when the sith spawn.

Day 1... many many people defending easy as pie to live thugs out gunned 3-4 to 1

lastnight.. 20 or so in village... everyone died we had 3 or 4 doc's trying to revive, after the 6th revive and with 3 thugs chasing and others hitting me with ranged weapons.. i died

... and the attacks will continue for the whole phase...

so if i had not finished this quest the first day, i would have little hope of doing so now

this is what i would call gump level 9/10 coding... they take no account of the numbers inside the village area and spawn a fixed number...

Transfering xp this phase is going to be a pain in the arse as well so u havea very valid point. I havnt gone to transfer any xp this week as i can only play at weekends and phase 4 only hit on sunday on scylla. I'll have to test if its like the corvette where if ur walking u dont get attacked but i think they agro u anyway in fact im pretty certain as i got agroed when stud still peaced when actually doing the quest.

Yes they should take into account how many are doing the quest at that time to determine how many sith spawn.

However how would u propose let's say that a person logs in at the village at reset who is a doc. He buffs himself takes the quest and for the most part is maybe the only one doing it. Spawn comes with a reduced amount of sith as he's the only one doing the quest. Then 5-10 more show up pick up the quest and join the fight. Does the Spawn all of a sudden increase? Or do they get the benefit of a lower spawn?

It doesn't mean that if you didn't get it done the first day it can't be done. Just means that you will have to get a well suited group together. The ones who don't need the kills deal with the thugs while those who do concentrate on the outlaws and the pirates.

I would say for the most part to get this quest done as soon as possible.

I also have suggestions that would benefit everyone trying.

1. Don't use LP as the lag it can cause.

2. Don't use specials on Pirates as it will allow many people to get hits in before they go down.

3. If you get your kills and spawn is still active help bring the thugs down so others can get their kills.

Transferring XP is indeed a pain this phase, I've died before trying to do it. Mainly because of all the lag. Im not sure the dev's gave enough forethought to that part.

Best way is to pull a few sith from outside the village walls. Otherwise you will get overwhealmed if there are not enought PC players around.

Ya...I'm glad I thought of this last week and realized thatlast weekend would probably be the best time to do this quest. Luckily it worked out for me and I've completed it in 2 waves.

I figure if I have the time I'll be going back to help kill Thugs and maybe others will also do the same!!! Anyone???

i would not log out inside the village

last time i did that inside a hut and was dead before i could react

They could count the number of players inside the village and set spawn numbers using that numbers.

They could recount the players numbers while the attack continues and re_asses the spawn rate

They could do alot of things... if they had the iq

lastnight was my 6th wave of attacks while i was @ the village helping out, what i noticed was the sith seem to be hitting me alot harder, 1st wave the thugs were not doing much damage @ all, it was hard to find poeple with low health and with wounds... last wave was nasty my health was taking a huge hit. looking @ the group, others were losing health real fast.. have no idea y

I only have seen 2 waves but my perception is there are more thugsbut less outlaws and pirates at the begging stages of the waves then the opposite near the end of the waves(more outlaws and pirates).....??? anyone else notice this?

Could work but then again what if those people don't help or are just there to convert XP? You still could be outnumbered.

Same as above. If the spawn count is low and about 5-8 people are doing it and here comes 15-17 people to convert XP you are doomed.

i was on last night trying to finish healing phase for my wife's character. First spawn, we kicked butt, group of 20 with 3 docs and a medic. 2nd spawn, almost same group but no other groups and we got owned. We held for the first 2 waves of the spawn and then they just overran the village 2 docs and 2 medics dead. 1 doc running around trying to rez. Man it was crazy, but I got my Bacta Tank...lol. It does look cool even if it doesnt do anything.

Yeah, this quest is and, in my opinion, should be the toughest without a group of people. Each phase has been (theoretically) getting tougher and tougher though a large enough group (i.e. the first couple of days) can wipe these guys down easily.

I went to help a couple of guildies of mine the other day, got a group of about 18 together and without a doc (one combat medic) we only lost 3 members. There were about 6 or so non-group people there as well. So 25-ish people was able to defend one side of the village.

Not bad, in my opinion though the last few days of this phase will be a pain admittedly since "everyone" will have wanted to get the quest done ASAP and not wait for a few days to spread out the help. I hope that more people will be interested in helping those who need the help and not ignore their pleas for this is a tough one without a large group.

In addition, if you need to transfer XP, I'd suggest taking a little bit of your time and help out for the phase that you show up in so that those there who are trying to finish the quest may be able to do so.

Just a thought or two.

its nice to see rational thinking besides thost thoughts coming from me. meanwhile, spineless 1 star morons are not even reading what you have to say, not even offering a rebutal, and just applying the roxor-go-pwnage power by clicking the 1star. i made the same statements about 3 days ago, b/c i was able to have foresight as to what will happen in the later periods of this phase.... and yes... like you, no one comes and refutes, no one comes and makes intelligent conversation, just a whole bunch of 1 star spineless morons. anyway, we are now starting to see the those people coming on and talking about the difficulties, so in a sense, i/ we were wrong, it's happening much faster than i had imagined. anyway sqwert, nice points, and totally agree.

im getting tired of the same damn avatars for the sith, i think the trandoshan in the armour was a promotional avatar during the begining of the game last year. the guy in the composite look alright, but im getting tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. i think they were getting bored of making the missions, since this one was the last one, they just made it with the least ammount of work.
