im not complaining but every day i find a post on the jedi forums from new jedi who have just got to padawan asking how do i grind to novice LS not getting on the terms and what mobs to kill!

1. DONT complete your padawan trials. Get to Jedi initiate and grind the 20k xp you need for novice LS then complete your trials and type /findmytrainer then go train. Remember while your initiate you gain 0 Visibility.

2. Mobs to kill from months of these posts the best mob to kill to get the 20k xp for novice is Dire Cats on Corella. I my self went to kaadra beach and killed the npc worry free and to taunt the BH hehe only joking

i hope this helps you soon to be jedi and saves you some worry about visibility and the gind

May the force be with you....

Cool, I had heard that initiates gain visibility.

I have read a number of times on the Jedi boards that Initiates do gain visibility when equipping or fighting with a lightsaber around PCs and NPCs. Of course they could be wrong, but I think getting in the habit of being careful with what you are doing and working to avoid visibility early is a wise decision.

Also read that the XP loss is 5k XP at Initiate as well, so be careful.

Yes or no? Can an Initiate gain visibility or not? This is really a post for the Jedi Forum....

It's a no because for one you have no force powers and 2 you can wear armor still. You don't become visible till you hit padawan

I'm not sure on the visibility thing. I think you can't get on the TERMINALS until padawan (because you have 0 sp invested in jedi skills). But you might be able to rack up visibility, hit padawan, and instantly become the noob-Jedi Hunter's favorite target.

I heard once you tuning crystals causes visibility, which you start tuning as an initiate. SO I wonder if we can get a clarification. Wait probably not, we don't get a correspondent.

So you can grind with your glow stick, wearing armor?

New jedi used to have a week 'free' where they could not go on the terminals but did generate Visability. This wan't just devs being nice it was to prevent exploiters farming their newbie jedi to BH and then rerolling the toon after they had PLd all their BH palls for a couple of days. This may be what they did again though the reasons for it are less apparent.

You *can* but you do absolutely awful damage if you are wearing any armor at all.

You can wear armor as a Jedi, you just can't use the powers and you become uncerted with a lightsaber.

Once you are an Initiate and have created your lightsaber, if you equip that lightsaber or fight with it around PCs or NPCs, I bet you do generate visibility, and then when you hit Padawan and train, you'll be immediately on the terms for BHs to hunt you down.

Best to be safe and work to minimize visibility from the moment you get Initiate status.

Exactly you get soooo little xp that you may as well risk getting put on the terms. Trust me you WON'T get visible untill you are padawan. You don't even have a force ham bar yet till then either.

GTorque,

How long did it take you to grind the 20k xp against those Dire Cats?

Thanks!
