Hi, I'm building up my character and decided that it would be worth while to have some combat skills for a change. Now I'm not going to be able to master Fencer, nor get any of that lovely medic. I figure I can get maybe 2 lines maxed out.
Given no other combat professions and 28 skillpoints (roughly) to spend, how should I spread them out to get the best over-all fighter? I don't care about uberness, I just want to be able to handle a bit of anything.

yeah, I would agree with this. get these lines and a high damage gaffi stick (PvE) and stun baton (PvP), and you're ready to go.

PVP is not likely. My other professon of combat is Master Creature Handler.
Also, what's second best to the gaffi? I'm looking for style more than performance.

ryyk's are kinda neat looking, if you don't care about damage that is. i also find the vibroblade to be more and more appealing. it's fun to tear ppl up with a tiny little knife. i call mine the butter knife of doom. has a neat sound effect too.

you'd be hurting without any accuracy.. you might be fine in low end pve, but don't expect to hit anyone in pvp.

Ok, I've freed up a couple more skillpoints. I can go 0/2/4/2 and get a bit of speed, a lot of dodge, decent accuracy, and bodyhit3 blind1 healthhit1(probably useless)

Never going to happen. The only skills I could give up are Master Creature Handler or Master Entertainer. I'm allready giving up Musician for this but there is no way I'm losing my Mandy.
