I have read this all over. I know that some armor is vuelnerable to stun but when someone is stunned... what happens to them? Lots of people use it and I can't figure out the benifits. Thanks in advance. Im working toward novice fencer =).

First of all, fencers don't get a stun move (unfortunately). But when someone is stunned, I know that their damage output is lessened, and I've heard that a stun lowers a person's melee and ranged defense. I have no way of knowing for sure about the melee and ranged defense, but it does seem to be easier to hit a stunned opponent. Stun and intimidate is the bane of melee profession though since they both lower the damage output of the person that is stunned/intimidated

stun damage is what your stun batton does.

the moves like "blind" and "stun" actually have their own damage catagory.....restraint

stun reduces some secondaires, and slows them down a little

Actually, I think you're confusing Stun with Intimidate.

Stun - this makes the target easier to hit. (this is why pikemen are given a stun attack very early on. believe me, it has been tested to death)

Blind - this makes it more likely for the target's attacks to miss. (with fencer, i always blind before i bleed)

Intimidate - the target's damage output is lessened. (when I was building up pikeman, I hated to be intimidated...my max damage would be lowered to around 300 per hit)

If these state changes have additional modifications, then I don't know...this is only what I've personally kept track of.

The technical:

Intimidate - Reduces the target’s Damage by 50%, will reduce the secondary defenses (Dodge, Block, Counterattack, Defense Acuity) by 50% and will lower all other defenses by 50 (flat out rate).

Stunned - Delays the "recycle time" of the combat queue by 50% (a 3 second delay becomes a 4.5 second delay). In addition to that, it confers a -20 penalty on all defenses

Dizzy - Will confer a chance to be knocked down during any Posture change, whether forced or intended. The chance to Knock down from a not Knocked-down status is at about 50%. The chance to be knocked down while trying to get up from a knocked-down status is at about 80%. A target that is dizzied and knocked down will most likely be rendered unable to recover from his Knocked-down status until the Dizzy effect wears off. IN addition it confers a -10 Modifier to all defenses

Blind - Drastically reduces the targets accuracy. (by -50) as well as reducing all defenses by 30.

For anyone that doesn't believe that stun reduces damage, simply attack something and watch how much damage it is doing to you, then stun it and you'll see it doing less damage. The same goes for you. Watch your damage output when you're stunned, you'll notice it being less. Not as bad as intimidate, but I would guess it at being around 25% damage reduction.

But since fencers don't have a stun move, you'll have to pick up unarmed or pike to test it.

yep stun seems to cause somewhere between 15-25% dmg reduction.. why? who knows but it's very easy to see it
