Thread: Okay, question about Spin2

I've been hearing all this praise about it, but from what i've read, the dmg is just the same(and the status effect) as Blind2. Right now im 0234 in Fencer and I can tell you, Blind2 isnt all that great. So, whats so good about Spin2? Also, I am currently using a Gaffi that is 132-220(something like that) for quenkers, and I do around 600 with blind2.

Get a better Gaffi, if yours isn't sliced get one and hope for a damage slice. With a damage slice it'll hit around 700 or so with spin2. Spin2 is just nice, I use it and spam after I get buffs, you can drop things extremely fast with it, literally within seconds.

But then the question still is, why should i go for 0334 when I already have and AoE that does the SAME thing, surely theres something that sets it apart from Blind2 since its not getting any praise

I think Spin2 might have a better chance of actually hitting everything around you. I have noticed sometimes when I use blind2, that it doesn't always even attempt to strike at everything around me, not a miss or anything just doesn't even attack certain things around me, spin2 however always attacks everything.

Spin 2 does have a slightly higher damage modifier (just not much) and blind 2 has a higher chance to blind the target.

Spin 2 has a 3.0 modifier, and blind 2 only has a 2.5.

The main reason spin2 gets mentioned more than blind2 is that, the footwork line is the first line anyfencer should train, and so fencers will invariably get spin2 before blind2.. therefore when people are giving xping advice etc they'll say to use spin2 since people xping will get that first...


Personally, I would never ever use spin2 at master fencer either use blind2 if you're trying to apply blind (or even 1handhit3 for single targets), or else use dizzy2 since it's higher damage ae than spin2 for same ham costs... spin2 is only good while xping up when you've not got the other AEs really

You guys are overlooking one greatly important thing. NIETHER of those AoE attacks is a fencer's best. DizzyHit2 is. It has a 3.5 damage modifier. It is my attack of choice for dealing out area damage.
