Thread: Question on Mitigation
I have a silly question for you. I recently had a repair attempt on a gaderiffi baton that caused only "minor blemishes" reduce the max damage on my weapon to 60 points below min damage. Ouch.
I didn't throw it away yet though.
Here's the silly question...
Would this become anexploitagainst master melee types with mitigation 3? In other words is the differential between min and max capped at zero, or can the formula derive a negative number which would end up being added to the damage cap, rather than subtracted?
Silly, I know, but if they haven't capped the damage range calculation for mitigation to zero as the minimum... perhaps they should.
Granted, the max isn't all that hot now anyway, but it just got me to thinking.
Well, they probably calculate the range as max-min+1, so your value would be negative. They then take a percentage of that value (still negative) and subtract it from the weapons max (in your case this would increase the max). How this would affect anything, i have no clue. If the max is less then the min, what kind of damage would it do? What kind of damage does yours do with the max less than the min?
