This is my first time as a Fencer since I've picked up the game in August, and I have to say it rocks! I wanted something different from the ranged professions Ive been playing, and I refuse to holo grind anymore. Imagine my surprise to learn that things have trouble hitting me! Or when they hit, I actually can handle the damage! It's amazing to me I haven't picked up a stun baton before now.
I'll be keeping Fencer once I master it - any suggestions on how to plow through XP quickly, and what skill boxes I should acquire first for maximum Fencer carnage? And any idea when duel swords are coming our way? This sounds interesting, although it probably wont be as uber as some are thinking (hopefully to keep the FOTM's away).
Anyway, hiya, and thanks for any suggestions you throw my way.

Good luck
Fencer is a lot of fun for me, I think it will get even better the higher I get into it. The tree setups are really nice too.

Go up footwork first. Get to footwork 3 by doing quenker missions, buffed and on brandy
Once you get footwork 3 you get spin2
Picket plains walker missions, buff/brandy...Also get some good armor......Walk up to the lair, use CoB and spam spin2 right next to the lair. You will get xp so fast you wont know what to do. Its about 28k per lair, and they are like 9k missions. I love it.

Thats the kind of advice I was looking for! MonkeyWithACold is my new best friend... with all the scary consequences that comes with that title.
Seriously, thanks.

Also, you might want to consider getting BodyHit3 (third box in third column). I went 001X. Then 021X. Then 023X. Then 043X. Then 044X. I liked the combo of the health hit and the body hit. I think you can tear through groups faster that way. Sure, with spin attack you can kill them all at the same time, but I think it's faster to kill one at a time. Put a bleed on all of them, then while you fight one the others bleed, leaving less work for you to do when you get to them. Be sure to use all your state effects as well.
That's how I did it, and I have no complaints about the process. Took me about a week to go from One Handed 1 in Brawler to Master Fencer.
