...after trial and error...of learning different combos...of taking the advice of our dear, departed sensai...
I finally did it...
At 1:08am, June 24, 2004, I mastered Fencer! Thanks to TK-657!
To some, it's no big deal. But to me, it means a lot. Raph told me to take my time and savor a profession that she knew that someday, it wouldn't be the same. So at her request, I did just that, and I love this profession all the more.
I wish she was here, so I could tell her I've finally mastered, but I know her spirit is in this forum, and I'm happy with that.

I totally know what your saying dude. I started my path onto Fencerdom in late july last year. My char was born on the 3rd day of the games release and it took me till December to master fencer.
Its really a great profession that has alot of class and finesse. I was the guy in AD&D playing the hearty sword adventurer so I really put alot of char into char lol.
I loved being able to do at novice fencer what alot of other people couldnt do at higher levels. I would camp the narglatch caves for days and make huge 20 person groups back in the hay day lol.
Congrats bud, Fencers Rock

Well Grats first off and you were lucky to take your time and get to love the profession. I on the other hand did not my first time around. I grinded it out as a guess and was doing all melee. My intent was to move on to the 3 range after that and then crafting to unlock. However I became burnt out and was missing the reason I started playing this game. So I quit and was left with pike, tkm mb and some rifleman. My desire does not long for ranged weapons although I see the advantages. I chose tkm again because I loved it and I was encouraged to try fencer again. Well second time around I really enjoyed it and plan on keeping it. Even after being a master for a few weeks now I am still learning my combos and what moves I like the most. I have had lots of fun playing it the second time and hope to until I leave SWG forever. I wish you the same.

Congrats
I reached master in november but I've been missing to fun of going up the fencer tree so I've decided to turn another of my characters into a fencer, so my smuggler is dropping Pistoleer and is going to become a Swashbuckling Rogue
