Thread: What are the most important stats for a fencer
If all you were going to be for a combat class was 100% master fencer, what would be your main stats?
IE: Which stats affect HAM drain the most for fencing moves, which affect regen, etc etc.
i think he means he dropped them as low as they can go. i dont think you can drop anything to 0.
as a rodian i have a fast regain rate on action. but i noticed that all my attacks so farpull frommy health and mind. is it because i use a Ryyk? i see no need for action as a fancer so far and im doing just fine. what is different between us that action is so important?
Yes that's intresting question ![]()
Anyone could tell which stats are essentials for us fencers? And what stats can we drop...
Well, according to the Prima Guide (which could be wrong, it has some mistakes but it hasthe only hard numbers I've seen)...
All the Moves of 1H Melee have the same Move Cost Multiplier for Health and Action, but a higher Mind cost. For example:
Move - H / A / M Cost
Blind Hit 1 - .5 / .5 / .625
Health Hit 2 - .75 / .75 / 1.25
Body Hit 3 - 1 / 1 / 2
Spin Attack 2 -1.25 / 1.25 / 2
And so on. 2H Melee uses more Action, Polearm uses more Health and Unarmed is even across the board.
On the other hand, the average Move cost for 1H weapons have a higher Action cost, except for the Gaderffi Stick and the Ryyk Blade, which have higher Health. For example:
Weapon - Average H / A / M Cost
Dagger - 6 / 29 / 6
Curved Sword - 18 / 40 / 25
Vibroblade - 10 / 36 / 10
Stun Baton - 10 / 38 / 32
Ryyk Blade - 39 / 30 / 25
Rantok - 27 / 40 / 25
So using Spin Attack 2:
Dagger - 7.5 / 36.25 / 12
Curved Sword = 22.5 / 50 / 50
Vibroblade = 12.5 / 62.5 / 20
Stun Baton = 12.5 / 47.5 / 64 (!)
Ryyk = 48.75 / 37.5 / 50
Rantok = 33.75 / 50 / 50
So it looks like Mind is more important than I thought. It kinda makes sense since Fencing is more about focus and concentration than brute force. I had it down to the minimum (for a Rodian) and was constantly getting incapped. I recently started migrating them to Marksmen level, which have higher Action & Mind stats. This would also help when I try to heal myself, since using my Medic skills takes big chunks out of my Mind pool, and when using my pistol...
V. Good post TrebGarret.
All we need now is to determine how stats( strenght, focus and quickness )affect the ham cost...
And eventually elaborate the perfect fencer setting...
If anybody got some thoughts on that account- please feel freely to post.

Thanks for the post, this is the exact info I was looking for
Very helpful and informative.
props
I seem to put a lot more faith in the support stats for my HAM. I have reduced my Action pool to its lowest possible because i just dont seem to lose it and Rodians have a innately higher AP regen. I took those points and maxed out my strenght and constitution, and moved my focus and willpower as high as i could get them. I find that i often regen a large portion of my HAM bars during longer fights.
