What exactly does Dizzy do? I am working up One hand sword to be a Fencer, and I have an attack that makes opponents dizzy. It seems do nothing at all though. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

I am a new fencer so I may well be wrong, I am sure someone on these boards will give you a better answer than me! However, I think that it basicly makes your opponent a tad confused which results in them being less likly to hit you and also makes you a little more likely to hit them.

I am now on the third tier of the 1 handed sword tree having recently gained dizzy.... when fighting humanoids I am finding it very usfull to hit them with lunge a few times to get them on teh floor, and then just whack away at them with 1hand body shots, should they get up, I just lunge at them and repeat.... they dont really have a chance to get in any hits on you (although the red guys still massacre me!). However, when fighting monsters, I find it extremly usfull to replace the lunge for a dizzy..... if it misses I do it again untill the monster goes dizzy, and then I will break open the body shots or perhaps a bezerk..... in that respect I find dizzy is kinda like lunge, only it makes the monster slow down and become less effectivewhereas lunge makes the humanoid lay / kneeldown.

The lunge/dizzy combo is very effective.

When you lunge someone, imediately use dizzy on them. a great majority of the time, when they try to get up.. they will be too dizzy.. and they will fall down.

That is how dizzy is effective. Works the best on humanoids

Lord Viper is right. Using Lunge and dizzy is extremely effective against humanoids. I usually do lunge first to kneel them (if they're meele they won't be able hit back), then dizzy and then bash them with body2(or one hand2)wait for them to lose their balance (can only happen when they try to change position). When they're on their back go berserk and finish them off before they can stand. Does anyone find hitting with Dizzy first more effective?

I haven't seen lunge or dizzy be particularly effective against animals though, anyone seen otherwise?

I havent found dizzy very effective against mosters myself. But when I lunge them I do see a bit of delay before their next attack. Sort of like how melee humanoids kneel thus makin' them unable to attack, though the monsters graphic doesnt change position im pretty sure it makes them unable to attack for maybe a round, but not much. The delay is far less than it is against humanoids though. It also helps when you are fighting something and it starts to run away. Like Nym's Droideka's on Lok, they usually run away, and they are FAST, so lunge could prove usefull there as well.

I've been using Dizzy, switch to 2h meele, 2-h sweep. Lunge seems to use an insane amount of HAM from all three pools

This question just popped into my head.

Do you thing there is an equal chance of a humanoid falling on the back when they are dizzy and try to stand up from kneeling position or when they try to stand up from the prone position when dizzy?

Otherwise the only advantages to using lunge twice and making them go prone is that they can't shoot you and it might take a half second longer for them to get up.

Ive been using Dizzy first, and its still effective, but not as good as lunge first. This is because in the extra 2.7 Seconds they have to hit you, they can hit you, simple as that

And if you are like me, mindlessly soloing Jedi, this isnt a good thing... But, I soloed (with Salt my Sludge Panther) a Dark Adept down to 3000/16000 HAM. Luckily Salt has a posture down attack and I kept her Dizzy and Blind and stacked Bleed. Also, a Pistoleer friend and I took down an AT-ST, it was hilarious. We ran up, hit it with bleed. It one-hit incapped us but didnt slay, so we ran off, camped, healed up, ran back
