Ok, Im sitting in the Med Center after a group of friends got intoa forray with about 7 Imperials, I ran up and tanked so they could run off, and was pretty wounded. So anyways, an "Apprentice Heavy Swordsman" comes up and starts running his mouth about how ranged people are wussies and that 2H swordsman is the best profession in the game. He talked about how a Master 2H can hit for 3000 without specials. I basically said that I had hit that high before as a Novice Fencer, and he became very pissed. "I bet you had to use a special, Fencers suck. I have you beat on speed and damage!" After he said he had a 2H sword with a max of 243 damage at 4.5 Speed, I said I guarenteed I had him beat in the speed department (1.9 Curved sword at 165 damage with +60 speed). He said he could easily beat me, and I asked him for a duel then. After 5 minutes of doing nothing but talk smack, he just ran off. I have seen this over and over with 2H Swordsman, being way to confident. Anyone else seen this problem?

Heh, that is funny, young kids running their mouths and being all wildly overconfident. Yet I do not see that as a problem at all. That foolish confidence is their biggest weakness. I am not looking to gain their respect, I am looking to whip the pants off them, and in that cocky boasting I see one thing ...blah...blah..2 hand dmg...blah...4.5 Speed!!! .... blah .... His failure is complete, his achilies heal is exposed. The key is not telling him you can hit faster (I tend to never expose my weapon stats, as that can give them an edge), but merely smile and offer battle, and let him figure out what happend as he's cloning. So my advice is let them run their mouths, and just lean back, smile, and pat your scabbard.

My 2hd curved sword is 2.2 spd 254 dmg

end game both chars. are good.

and I have beat plently of fencers and have been beat by plenty of fencers.

no question, no question, equallymatched Master Fencer vs Master Swordsman will come down to tactics and a little luck ether could best the other on any given day, and both will be badarsemofos

I'm refering to the simple minded l33t d00ds that clamor to the phat dmg of a 2h attack, with no regard for finesse or technique. To those I'd smile and duel, with, ahem, one hand tied behind my back at any time
