Thread: Dizzy/Lunge or Lunge/Dizzy
I like lunge then dizzy a lot better, especially versus kiting NPCs.
Lunge has larger range than dizzy which hits first when you are chasing someone or simply when you are closing distance. It also pauses their attacks for a bit if they are melee. Dizzy follows the lunge so that you are already at a close enough distance, meanwhile dizzy's damage will be maximized because of their current posture. Then they will fall down as they try to get back up.
It works well against PCs too (you need to ground your opponents before you can even get NEAR the range to using dizzy).
Lunge is a Posture-Down attack, nearly every time I use it the person kneels. I then dizzy them. Lunge+DIzzy is practically the only way to actually make someone fall down from dizziness, use it in a goup and you'll be indispendable.
Either method is acceptable, and good for different situations.
Lunge -> Dizzy
Your opponent is running, from you. Use Lunge to drop them to one knee, which gives you time to apply dizzy. Lunge has a range of 15 meters, so it's very good at stopping running foes.
Melee opponents don't generally run, and they can't attack while kneeling. So it's almost always best to lunge a melee opponent first.
Dizzy -> Lunge
The drawback to the first methodis that lunge has a very short duration. It is entirely possible that you will lunge them, and they might resist, or not stay down long enough for you to Dizzy.
Dizzy, has duration of several seconds. So if you can dizzy them first, then you can lung for several seconds later and still drop them. If you start fighting at close range, it might be smarter to dizzy them first. Remembe: posture change while dizzy almost always causes them to fall... but you can also get knocked down by just running while dizzy.
Overall, the order of will depend on the situation.

I find that in PvP you need to use Lunge/Dizzy/Lunge because even though I have Advanced Footwork, they will get up by the time I can apply Dizzy, so to make them change postures to hopefully falling down, you need to Lunge again. This won't work when there is a thirty second "cool down" timer on successful lunges or knockdowns. I don't know what we'll do then, mabye go TKA.

The way dizzy seems to work is when the MOB NPC or PC changes a position by will not force, then falling down.
The best tactic before the last patch was equip a dagger lunge/dizzy/lunge this gave you 2 chances in 2-4 seconds that the target would be on thier back.
Lunge/dizzy seems to work better for me, if done right after the other. If you throw in a couple of moves like
dizzy/healthhit1/bodyhit2/lunge1 but of coarse you will never get that on anything except other brawler types, so use lunge first
