Thread: Fencing vs Ranged PVP
Straight PvP, I can win. When a random Rebel bursts into a cantina and puts a dozen KDs on me with his pistol before I even know he's there and shoots me to death, then I have problems.
Or when random people run up and steal my missions by just shooting at them purposefully and then laugh at me afterwords by saying "That's what you get for using a gay sword." Grr...
I get killed a lot because I choose to use my sword, rather than my pistol. So I like to use my TEF on the player that killed me. It actually makes it a little more of a challenge to have to actually sneak up on someone to hand them what they deserve.
So when that person is distracted, it's time to lay the fury down. They don't see it coming. Lunge/Dizzy combo and down they go. Then I hear all the complaints abouts the lunge/dizzy being to powerful and that I used a TEF to take them out. But no one seems to admit that because a melee person takes them out, that they used good tactics to do it. I had one person complain that I didn't play fair because he was attacking another person in my group and I use my TEF to make him kiss the ground.
Well if someone db's someone else, then that person shouldknow theyhave a TEF on them. So be on the lookout for that person.
Melee fighters are dirty fighters, we need to find everyway to get the first hit or hit them when they least expect it.
I enjoy being a fencer in PVP, it gets your blood flowing knowing that your severely out numbered when you see all of your opponents have guns. There will always be more ranged users than melee, so we have to live with it and outsmart our opponents.
