I just came back to the game to try out the CU and Space. I am a Master Fencer and was wondering what I need to know, I think I got the revamped Fencer figured out ... but I dunno. Also, I am 6 boxes away from finishing the FS quests and need to know if there is any good way to grind combat exp anymore. I heard grenades are good but I don't feel like grinding commando and finding groups all the time. Before the CU I would just get buffed and run grawl missions on Lok, which worked pretty well. Is there anything like that anymore? Thanks for the info

Well right now, whilst it is possible to solo, and I've done it with relative effectiveness, it's best to do it in a group. A group will get you XP at 2 - 4X the speed, and around MO, they're everywhere, when you step off the Starport, you'll probably see at least 2 forming groups.
My piece of advice, if you haven't already, is to consider picking up another Melee profession. Melee/Ranged is not as effective as it used to be, because all Melee and Range specials are cross-use within themselves.
e.g: Swordssman Specials while Unarmed, Fencer Specials with a Polearm, etc.

Hello and welcome back!
A few tips, Always keep CoB running it is very very helpfull. Advanced lunge has a very very good chance of KD'ing and is on a 30 second timer so use it wisely. If you can pick up the new expansion RotW it has some very nice Fencer weapons and other nice loot. You can also pick up a nice set of the Katarn armor which is Battle armor (Fencer Certed) it has nice stats. Bleed is suppost to be our main state to put on someone but right now it is very very under powered I am working to get this boosted =).
For XP the nice thing about the CU is now that you can pull missions of your level on any planet so you can pick what ever planet you want and pick missions that are 1-2 levels above or below you, get an inspiration buff from an entertainer and get in a group when ever possible. The XP when you are grouped is so insanely fast that if you don't get in a group your are just making more work for your self. FS XP is coming alot faster then pre-CU I have seen people fill up a full 4 boxes in 1 day so the XP is still around. Hope this helps and welcome back!
